Does anyone here have experience actually doing this (buying a Fixed Week at a “sold out” resort)?

I haven't personally done it, but I did inquire this summer and was told the week/room was available if I wanted to.

Same, this past Jan I inquired about Copper Creek and their runDisney FW for Wine and Dine. I was told it was available but not the old flexible kind but the fixed fixed one to conform with the other resorts. 🫩

Congrats! Seems like they have paused buying back some OKW 2042's. I saw another with a similar low price pass recently too

I bought my 150 BWV at $101.63 per point. I have a spreadsheet that calculates it all for me. I did OKW at $67. My contract was mostly loaded but I didnt even factor that in. My sheet numbers may be slightly off since we are approaching the end of the year but they are both 2042 contracts so the comparison is still accurate. Highlights that dues make up most of your contract cost not the price per point upfront.

I made this offer fully expecting to be listing it on the rejected offers thread a few days ago. Was sort of shocked to have it accepted (without any counter). I really have not been wanting to buy any more points right now. Figured I would likely add to my existing CCV resale points at some point (with maybe a slight chance I'd search for BLT points instead), but was planning to wait. Kept thinking about this one, so finally threw in the offer and, welp, here I am .

Thank you! I think, for now, I have decided I'll be fine booking preferred view at BLT at 7 months, and that there is a better SAP+ benefit to owning at CCV should I want 2 BRs or more there.

Thank you. I see where I messed up. I started with $17,358 for your BWV and $10,840 for @W0310621’s OKW when I should have started with 150 times price paid per point.

I calculated a little differently, Assuming an annual maintenance increase of 5% each year for OKW and 3.5% each year for BWV now through 2042. The annual increase will change some but going off the last 15 years that’s the average.
150 BWV $101.63 would be almost $4500 cheaper vs
150 OKW $67.00 over the rest of the contract life if starting with 2026 dues.
This is why it’s important to look at the total cost over the lifetime. We love BWV but I wanted to pay cash so OKW won out on this one.

Yes. I wasn't trying to diminish your deal at all. It's a great price. Up front cost does matter especially if it means not financing.

I adore my spreadsheet and love using it so if you ever want me to plug any numbers for you to compare just send me a DM I also have much more complex ones that factors in historical dues increases and factors that in, ones that show price after 5 years, 10 years, 15 years etc.
