Since it is to nasty to do any running or biking today, I decided to check in.

Sharon and I will be meeting Sam and Irene on Sunday. On Jan 18 I'll be in Wesley Chapel, just north of Tampa, finishing up a 100 mile running race. I'll be in great shape for a meeting up. Tired, hungry, smelly…...

Granted, not Disney, but it's been over two years since I've cruised and I may have forgotten how!!!

All I need to do is get through the crowds in the terminal, and I'll be just fine.

I have now packed three times. I'd gotten a rolling duffel that is supposed to be a spinner...easier to have the bag "walk" beside me than to pull it....WELL....it spins just great when it's empty. Once it's full....forget it. It won't even pull.
And I was so proud of myself, I had all my clothes in those nice, airtight bags....

So I took it all out, and put it in my hardside spinner. The darn thing weighed 47 pounds! Too close for comfort, even though I have t-shirts to wear when I snorkel that I plan on leaving behind....
So I dump it all back out, take almost everything out of the air bags....for some reason, to me, they seem heavier in the bags than out. Take out a couple shirts and a pair of capri's....and now it weighs 43 pounds. I can live with that.

Can we tell it's been a while since I've packed for a cruise??

Happy New Year everyone! Back yesterday from an extended vacation to Texas thanks to the massive snowstorm. Was stranded there for 3 extra days with two kids. Jim managed to get out on the 1st (he had to work on the 2nd). Oh well, playing catch up at work and at home too. Hope the year is good for all!

Jim managed to get out on the 1st (he had to work on the 2nd). Oh well, playing catch up at work and at home too. Hope the year is good for all!

Why is it, when I think of Texas, I picture dry, barren land like here in AZ??
For some reason, it always surprises me to read about bad weather there.

A quick update and happy new year to all....

We had a super magical cruise on the new magic, a short 4 night but i can report all the changes are a plus, more on that later.

We met up with the scubas before the cruise and then garry, vickie, stacey, her friend sharon and jim on saturday. I think our waiter thought we were a wee bit nuts.....silly waiter.

For some reason, it always surprises me to read about bad weather there.

LOL! I couldn't get BACK to Michigan with all the snow there. Texas was fine!

Sam, Irene, and Jim....thank you...from the bottom of my heart....for making the drive and the effort to come for such a short visit. It meant the world to me.
