Fly home Saturday evening. Hoping the magic of the holidays at WDW will help get me in the Christmas spirit. I'm just not feeling it yet.

Wish I could say that I was. Having a hard time getting into the spirit. Haven't done much shopping. Hate the thought of buying stuff here only to schlepp it to Texas but I guess that's what gonna have to happen. I spent the majority of the day doing end-of-the-year paperwork (insurance, flex spending, etc) now I am not in the mood to get out in the cold and driving all over town.

I'm the exact opposite! I had put off shopping, but when I was in Omaha, I decided it would be easier to get the kids' stuff there, wrap it and let my mom give it to them, rather then me having to ship it from AZ. So that got me moving.

Now...as for all that end of the year junk.....

I'm hoping that if I ignore it long enough, it will go away. My office replacement has decided she likes welding better than doing paperwork...

Too funny! I am planning to do a massive shopping spree tomorrow morning. Gotta work in the afternoon then Alexa has a basketball game to play and then I am taking her and a friend out for the evening. All this with talks of 3-6" of snow coming Might have to save the shopping for Sunday

Thanksgiving....ahhh yes..... Well, I debated with myself forever, trying to decide if I wanted to do all that cooking for just 3 of us.
Ends up, I'm making a turkey breast with small portions of the "trimmings" tomorrow, and on Thursday, we're going up to the Carefree Inn for Thanksgiving dinner. This way, we get the yummy leftovers and I also get the day to kick back and let someone wait on me for a change.

Gee it has been forever and a day since I posted. Happy Thanksgiving all. We had a nice holiday, the first one ever just the two of us. And we had a 20 pound turkey...for two people, hey it's the holiday. And we had lots of turkey sandwiches and yummy leftovers. Now it is time to plan for Christmas.

Irene, thanks for that. I will tell Kevin you guys survived. He wants to go to Italy. So do I, but don't think we can do that many countries in one trip. Alicia says she will brush up on her high school French if we will take her.

Thanksgiving at home for us, too. Gluten free style. Means I have to make my own crispy onions, better get on that. We already had one early turkey meal at SIL's since nephew was moving to Seattle.

Very cloudy and dreary here, we've got a storm warning. Good day to stay in.

French works well in northern Italy....I say go for it.....
