Hope everyone is having beautiful weather like we are here in GA. I need to start vacuuming my whole house AGAIN. I have grass clippings everywhere in my house. We had a great time at the DCL house party. Kids played outside most of the afternoon & evening. Bruce got me a fire pit for my birthday so we roasted marshmallows for s'mores. The kids got to learn to draw Mickey with Ducky Williams (on a DVD courtesy of DCL). Parents had a good time enjoying each other's company. One of my friends showed up with a birthday cake for me.

Good Day all - The buses pulled back into Houston from Indianapolis around 9am this morning. After a shower, 1 hr nap and coffee, I'm returning slowly to normal.

The kids missed advancing to semi finals by 15/100 of a point. So close yet so far...

Kiki Karen, I fully understand about rolling from one season to the next. Maggie has basketball tryouts starting tomorrow. Mike is auditioning to play in the orchestra at our church tomorrow and then Freshman region auditions for school on Tuesday.

Working on the Christmas cards today. Almost done. Now I have to wrap the (few) gifts that need to be shipped and I will be ready for Christmas!
I cheated....made it easier on myself this year....no letter in the cards. Thanks to FB and the internet, everyone already knows all about our year anyway!

Tough to think that Christmas is around the corner when I'm sitting with the windows and doors open in my house. Still can't get used to it. Cruises are good for getting that family photo. Now, I just have to decide which one. No letter this year - too lazy and uninspired to write a creative one.

John's parents arrive Sunday to spend their first Thanksgiving with us. Now that marching band is over, I have a lot of work to do around the house before Sunday.

I thought I wanted to run... but with Ray being gone for a month, I don't even have time to work out in the morning any more, never mind actually go OUTSIDE of the house and do something! (Except yesterday morning, of course...) He should be back either the 1st or the 8th... by then I'll probably gain back the 15 lbs that I lost this year.

Oh Monica ... I need a personal trainer! I went to the orthopedic spine dr. for a follow-up visit. It's been 4 years since my surgery. I got fussed at for not exercising. He has ordered me to PT to learn strength training exercises - primarily core & hips. He said I need to figure out how to manage 20 min. of cardio 3 times a week & do some stretching & strength training. Other than that, everything is fine & I don't have to go back unless I have problems.

The eBay thing is picking up a little...I'm learning a lot as I go.

Hoping that Sharon and I have another garage sale before Christmas, too. I went through the basket I keep all of my fingernail polish in and found 38 bottles that I've never used. Once I got them home and tried the color, I didn't like them...so I made a chart of all the colors (so people won't open them) and think I'll try to sell them for $1 each. $2 would be better, but I've discovered garage sale people don't like much over a buck. Unless it's something really big. Another learning process.

I broke down and sold an item to a guy in Ireland ....for the right price.... My listings say United States only, but he asked and was willing to pay. His wife is getting a nice present for Christmas! But packaging it all up the proper way for International was yet another learning process. I'm glad the post office was empty, and the guy that works there is nice!
