That's great that he'll be back "home"!! Closer to you, closer to get to the wedding...he IS coming, isn't he?

And also great for the "boys" that they're going to be well fed!!
It depends on if he can afford it....

It's been a long-standing joke among Cave Creek friends that if Jay ever DID open his wallet, moths would fly out. ;)
If Jason pays me what he owes me - I'll consider it.... I don't think that think that I have moths in my wallet......

I booked a 5 night on the Dream for June 5, 2011. We booked a deluxe inside, Cat 10A. It came out to $2924. I went ahead and put deposit down but not 100% sure we will go. May want to wait until Fantasy comes out in 2012 since that is the year that Ashley will graduate from high school and Dale will graduate from College.

I KNOW you don't....you are definitely NOT like Jay. ::yes::

Our little boy has infections in both ears. He's starting out just like his mama and Uncle Jared. :sad1:

Is she in one of the high risk groups?

This is what my reply to Diana was.......

I don't think too many of the doctors around here are giving the Tamiflu, unless you fall into a higher risk category. Little kids, older people, asthma.... For most people it seems like it runs its course pretty quickly. I hope that's true for Alicia.

My take on the swine flue: Both Charley and his brother came down with Swine Flue a few weeks back. Charley's brother got it first, went to doctor, wasn't in high risk group, wasn't given Tamiflu. Week goes by, flu is worse and he collapses and goes into coma. Spent 2 1/2 weeks in Intensive Care, almost dying. He is now having to be in a rehab hospital. Kidneys shut down, lost ability to speak, etc. he is doing much better now and should be released from Rehab by early next week. Charley on the other hand, came down with fever, etc on a Sunday evening, went to the doctor on Monday, got started on tamiflu right away. Found out 2 days later when blood tests came back that it was swine flu. His fever stopped by Wednesday and he was pretty much back to normal by Friday.

Just because you do not fall into high risk group, doesn't mean it can't be deadly. Thank goodness Ashley and I had our regular flu shots early and I think it had to help. We did lots of lysol and sterilization of everything around Charley while he was sick and neither of us came down with it.

Holy cow Pam!!!! Best wishes to Charley's brother for a full recovery!

I had the "regular" flu shot a few weeks (maybe more now) ago, I get one every year. I've just been trying to be soooooo careful.
Knock on wood, we've been lucky so far. No one here (family, friends in AZ) has had it.

No worries. Virgil will fix us if we come down with anything.

I'm glad Charley's brother is doing better. Unfortunately Tamiflu has not been shown to prevent the serious complications that can occur with influenza - whether it be H1N1 or the seasonal influenza A or B.

Even the "emergency use" IV only drug peramivir has not been shown to prevent the serious complications - but only lessen the course of the disease by 12-24 hours.

Why do some get ill and die - while others have a mild illness? The medical community just doesn't know.

The WHO has been tracking resistant H1N1 and continues to be concerned that the continued overusage of Tamiflu will lead to widespread resistance. Seasonal influenza A is almost 100% resistant to Tamiflu - that's actually one of the reasons that there isn't a lot of it around - it hasn't been working the last couple of years.

I had actually forgotten about that part, Virgil...that all the Tamiflu does is help lessen the severity of the symptoms. It's not a cure.

You better get busy on that cure, Virgil....you'd be a VERY wealthy man!:worship:

One of God's great questions in life... our time is our time...
