I called today a few minutes prior to noon, and was on hold for 15 min. When I finally got through, my first choice was already gone. I was wanting Le Cellier around 6pm or a little before, for a party of 3, to attend the 8:15 Christmas Eve, CP. I can't remember for sure, but I think he quoted the last available dinner time around 4:30. Way too early for us to eat dinner.
Thankfully, for us, the story isn't all bad. The only reason I was going to book Le Cellier is because it is one of our favs., and after looking over the menus, it appears that you get more for your money out of the package there. My DH wanted Les Chef de France, anyway. We have eaten there before 3 CP's, and it has become somewhat of a tradition. I ended up reserving dinner for 5:50pm, and still the 8:15 show. Now I look at it like, so what if we don't quite get as much for our money, we'll be happy and keeping our tradition. By the way, I just thought I'd mention, that on previous occasions, none of which were Christmas Eve, we had a 6:15 ressie, and had to run to get to the show on time. Last year, we were asked to sit on a concrete wall just inside the Theatre. I have arthritis, and a deteriorating spine, so of course that wasn't an option. We were finally seated on a bench right behind a tree. No need to even get out the camcorder. We were extremely upset about the whole situation, so this time we decided to eat a little earlier. Just thought I'd share that experience, to give you an advance warning. Happy planning!
