If your resort had a heated pool, did you use it in december?

We are trying to finalize our plans for decemeber, and are looking at vacation rentals. We are trying to decide if it is worth spending the extra money to stay at windsor hills, add a day to our trip, to enjoy some of the nice pools / childrens areas that they have.
We have heard the weather is usually pretty nice during the day, and the pools are heated.

Just wondering if any of you have spent time in the different resort pools during that time of year?

We've been in Orlando several times in early December. We've seen upper 80's and humid, and we've seen 40's and very windy; it can change from one extreme to another in a matter of a couple of days, so you could wear jeans and sweatshirts early in your trip and be in shorts and t-shirts at the end of the trip. Plus everything in between! Likely, it will be warmish during the day (low 70's or so) and cooler in the evening. It's just not possible to predict if you'll be able to swim, so if you set aside a day for that, have some backup plans, too!

We do, but we are from Michigan. We always swam in December but 60's or even 50 isnt bad vs a blinding snow storm.

We went early January and swam on a 72 degree day--but we're from Michigan too.

Us Michiganders are tough -- we swam during the first week in December 2 years ago --- once at night! The pool was warm, just needed a towel asap when you got out. As I recall it was mid 70's in the day and around mid 60s early eve.

We swam during all of our winter trips. But being from Wisconsin (like my Michigan neighbors), we think anything above 50 is good. :thumbsup2

All our Disney trips have been in December (except for one in February) and we used the resort pool every time!!

I was there last December and we had warm weather. We were able to swim everday...

We've gone twice in December for a week and both times we were able to swim most days. There were one or two days each week that we felt it was too cold--but we also had a child under 2 on both trips so that may have made a difference.

We are also from the north, though, so take that into account.

By the way, we count those December trips as our best ones--the decorations are beautiful and early to mid-month there are no crowds and the weather is awesome. Enjoy!!!

Sorry to hijack your thread...and this is off topic...

but are the pools heated in the summer? We are going the last week in August and im hoping to NOT have a nice warm pool to take a dip in. I want to be COOLED off? Can anyone describe the pool temps in the summer? Is it like bath water?
