If you have been dreamed at DLR - Post here!

We've been dreamed twice: once between Fantasyland and Frontierland. We were walking through the passage way (right by the Mexican restaurant) and cast members were handing out fastpasses. This was when YOAMD was new, so we had no clue what was going on. I can honestly say there was nothing more grand than practically walking on all of the busiest attractions!

The second time was at Disneyworld last Christmas. We got off Splash Mountain (drenched, of course!) and we got ears.

No dreams for us last week, but we're hopeful for our trip in December. I just toured the suite above POTC on the Disney site. I think I have to stay there someday...

This is a WDW Magic Moment story rather than a DLR dream...is that OK?

We've been *very* dream lucky from home entries and have been dreamed several times! And last year when we were at Animal Kingdom, my sisters and daughter were dreamed on Primevel Whirl. But our favorite story happened in the Magic Kingdom.

On the day in question, my then 23-year-old daughter and husband -- comic book geeks both -- decided to wear their Batman and Robin t-shirts...Rose wore Batman; Greg wore Robin.

What could I do, but roll my eyes and go on with the day?

The day itself was, um, interesting. It was a pretty rainy day. Our group was a bit larger than we were used to traveling with and things got stressful from time to time.

As the evening was winding down, our whole party was walking down the main street in Fanastyland when Greg was approached by a young female cast member. She walked up to him, and fixed him with a steely gaze.

"So," she asked. "Just which Robin are you?"

"Tim Drake," Greg replied without missing a beat. "Is there any other?"

[Made no sense to me, of course.]

"Good answer," she said.

By this point everyone in our party was gathered around wondering what in the name of Roy O. Disney was going on. It turns out the cast member is a huge comic book fan and she and Greg started chatting comics.

My sisters and I started getting excited, and finally blurted out, "Oh my gosh, are we going to be dreamed?!"

She looked at us and said, "No, my friend and I are just talking comics."

After chatting for awhile, she asked if we were fans of Peter Pan's Magic Flight. As it turns out, this is one of my favorite rides. The cast member had us all stand in a row in front of the ride, swore us all in as honorary Lost Boys and Girls, sprinkled us with pixie dust and led us to the front of the very long line.

At this point, I looked at Greg and said, "Oh, you're really eating this up aren't you?"

What could he say but "With a spoon!"

We got to ride the ride ahead of everyone else, and when we got off the ride she gave us all Honorary Lost Boys and Girl certificates and had us sign a special guest book.

We may not have been "dreamed," but this Magic Moment totally MADE our trip!

I will never again complain when my husband and daughter go into their comic book geek mode -- thanks to that, we were gifted with a Magic Moment!

I think these count as dreams:
Upon checking into my standard room at DLH, My daughter and I were upgraded to a king room with a pool view. 5th floor- it was great. Then they brought out balloons for her 16th bday. We were only scheduled to stay one nite, but there was a note with the newspaper the next day asking if we wanted to stay another nite for $129. The note said we would need to switch back to a standard room, but when I went to the front desk they let me keep the same room!!

You know, that offer to stay at the hotel an extra night for a low rate is actually something that all three hotels do sometimes during the off-season, if they are not all booked up. They never do it during peak seasons, but if it is a slow period, you can almost guarantee that when they slip your final bill under the door in the early morning hours, they will offer you an extra night for a discounted rate. I was offered an extra night at PPH once for $99 but we couldn't stay any longer, which made me mad. They also do it at GCH too. It is good business for them to do that. If they are not all booked up and they can get some extra money, why not offer that?

I was given pins upon check in at GCH last December. The CM at the front desk told me she was giving them because we were celebrating birthdays, but that these pins were also Dreams gifts. And she gave me a voucher for more free pins. I have heard of a few members on this board getting the exact same thing at GCH last year in December, so I guess they were just feeling generous with their Dreams!

Has anyone ever noticed if you get dreamed more during the busy season (like summer) rather than off season? I am going in September and I wondering if I should even get my hopes up of being "dreamed"...
Just wanted to get your thoughts!

I was dreamed at: Jumping Jellyfish
at 11:00 am ish
and my dream was a $500 shopping spree at World of Disney!
Here is my story:
I had just taken the little ones on Jumping Jellyfish and went back to the bench to meet hubby (he does not ride the jellyfish.) We were waiting for a parade so he says do you want to go on the Jellyfish again, kids YES me NO. So I go back on again (dragging me feet). As we are ridding I notice the dream squad, then I notice they have a video camera, then I notice they are taping us!
Off to the dream lounge where they told us our prize.
It was a great prize :cool1:

Congrats!! Are you the same family that is on the Disneyland AP site?? They won on Jumpin' Jellyfish too!

I think that is very cool.

Won ears in June 2007 with my daughter getting off Maliboomer.
This year we won twice in two days!!:cool1: Won fastpasses getting off Maliboomer! Did not use them all that day as I was overheated and left early.
The next day my dear friend was also in the park and called me and told us they were handing out dream fastpasses in the walkway at Tritons fountain. Apparently a favorite spot to hand them out as she had won just three days previously right there! My kids were with my that day and we had a blast using our dream fastpasses.
FYI- did you know if not all your party wins or cannot get to you in time if you are split up(mom and kids on one ride and dad wins with another kid ect..) you can go to City Hall and everyone wins then? Just have the place and time you won and go talk to them. The second day my MIL was meeting us at 10 a.m. and we won at 8:40 in the morning. After she arrived we went to City Hall and MIL got a dream fastpass too! That was awesome!:wizard:

I am going again in a few months and will be checking out the parks early in the morning to try to win again! I am hooked now!

Wow this thread is awesome. I didn't even know this was going on and this is our first trip to DL. Those fastpasses sound AWESOME! So like you don't even have to get the fastpasses- you just have it to use on any ride? wow!!!

Congrats to everyone who has been "dreamed". :)

My kids received dream fastpasses after exiting the maliboomer...a ride that terrifies me. My Dh convinced me to ride it after seeing them get fastpasses so we would all have one so I did and when we exited the ride (my eyes were closed the whole ride) the dream team was gone! We found out we could get passes from city hall so essentially, I rode it for nothing! BTW, when at city hall it is important to know the exact ride and time the fastpasses were given out because they check with the dream team to make sure the info is accurate.

We were dreamed several times through the mail last year. Not on our last trip in October though. We were a party of 5 last year, and stayed for 8 days. We didn't win that time though (or get the hotel discount offer on our last day.) Hopefully we get something this time around. I just started mailing off our entries, so maybe we'll get dreamed thru the mail again.

happy monday heatherleigh!

I was curious... what were you Dreamed in the mail? On each occasion you were Dreamed in mail?:wizard:

What address did You send Your entry to?
:goodvibes

getting up early by myself paid off.... as i was walking by big thunder i noticed a lot of people with the blue mickey hats. i sought them out and at first they were like see ya have a nice day, so i just hung around and a few minutes later they pulled out more hats and started handing them out...i ran & snagged one...

Our five year old son got to conduct the Disneyland Main street band with Mickey.

It was cool- I am not going to say exactly how it happened but let's just say it was a random act of kindness that was overseen by a dream squad member. The reward our little man got to march down main street with the band and conduct. It was cute- Mickey danced- the CM's held the crowd back so that we could have a perfect view and the band went slow when he went slow and fast when he went fast and when he caught on and went superfast so did the band- it was awesome and hilarious all in one.
Great memory. It meant so much to my little guy that I actually pulled one of the guys aside the next day and asked that he please thank the dream guy again and explained that while I knew it was their job and it was all part of the contest it was that special moment that a middle child with a new baby sister doesn't always get and something that meant more than all the prizes and dream suites in the world to us.

I just re-read my above post, and it makes no sense. What I meant to say was that prior to our Oct trip last year, I was mailing off 5 entries per day (you can send one for each person in your household.)

We won four lanyards and one set of Mickey ears. :wizard: The ears are the light blue ones w/ clouds. The lanyards are dream ones, so you cannot purchase them.

I still am waiting to see if we win anything by mail this year. I sent off a few more entries today.

Last week my family was lucky enough to be dreamed twice at DCA

1st dream:

Place: Behind the S.S. Rustworthy next to Pizze Oom Mow Mow.
Time: Literally right after DCA opened after the rope drop.
Dream: Dream Fastpasses :cheer2:
Story: My DMom and I were at DCA for the rope drop. After the security took the rope down we decided not to follow the crowd to California Screamin and TSMM as we approached the S.S. Rustworthy I noticed two women wearing white vests we walked over and they said the "congratulations you've just won..." We called my DDad and Dsis (who were at DL) and told them and they came over and got dreamed. When we left there was nobody even close to the S.S. Rustworthy; everybody was on the Boardwalk.

I'm going to let IASWAM tell the story of our second dream (which is kind of funny) so you'll get to hear about it later...

It's kind of a long story but here goes:

The second time we were dreamed was again in CA. Once more we were in line for rope drop in CA near the vineyard/waterfall area, only this time we were all together. While we were waiting, we notice 2 CM's walk by, past the ropes, each carrying black tote bags. We watched them wander over by the vineyard room entrance, then toward Bugs Land, then back to the vineyard area where they disappeared. We knew what they were up to, so after rope drop we started to walk once again toward the Mulholand Madness area to find the Dream Team once again. My DW and DD11 wanted to see if they would be in the same place, but my DD14 and I thought "yeah right" so we turned around and headed for Bugs Land. Just as we get to the Wharf area, my DW calls and says she and our DD11 found them at the exit to the Maliboomer! Now we are separated and the only way we can get them is if we ride the ride! My DD14 and I race back to the Maliboomer, but the Dream Team is gone by the time we get there. My DW decides to go rid Screamin' and my 2 kids and I contemplate on what to do when suddenly we see the same 2 people come out from behind the scenes without their vests on, and still carrying their tote bags. They started to walk toward the Wharf area, so we slyly tail them (or so we thought ) all the way to the wharf where they duck behind closed doors once again. We figure "well that's that" since we would have no idea where they will pop out. After my kids get done eating at the bakery, my DW joins us from her ride on Screamin' and we are just getting ready to go get our Visa reward picture, when out come the 2 DT members with their vests on! They walk over to the wharf bridge and start handing out dream FP's. We ran over, got our FP's and had a good laugh with them since my family wouldn't/couldn't ride the Maliboomer to get them, and the fact that they knew we were following them around the park. :lmao:

DW, DD & I went to DLR on Sunday and received Dream Lanyards. We were on our way from Tomorowland to ride Splash Mtn and I saw them in an out of the way trail that goes from the front of the Castle into Frontierland.

Not exactly from the Dream Team…but I will get to see it Snow at Disneyland! :santa:

This is what I call my Disney Dreamed ...I was able to get the DGC for $194.35 (including tax) per night for the first week in December…here is what happened…When the Pin Code rate came out in July I received one…after some thought I booked the Disneyland Hotel using the code…I was given the price of $169.00 plus tax (15%) per night, and put a one night deposit down…A couple of days later I get my confirmation letter in the mail…ONLY it is for the Paradise Pier Hotel?? I called and asked why the wrong hotel and the CM checked in the system and said “just a minute” and then after a few minutes a supervisor came on line…Very Nice Lady…ask me a few questions…then she said…”She would need to review the conversation I had went I initially booked”. Yes they do record your conversations…She called back the same day and told me what I already knew…I had asked for the DLH…She told me the discounted rates are fully booked and they can’t book the DLH for me… I started to go ahead and cancel this reservation when she stopped me and asked if she could call me back…OK… and within the hour she calls and asked if I would like the DGC for the same price as the DLH…Magic of Disney! Outstanding customer service! Christmas time at Disney :cloud9:

We were dreamed last week on our way into Turtle Talk with Crush
I don't remember which day specifically but it was late morning.
We were all given the special YOMD ears.

We'd seen the dream team several times near Pirates but didn't get anything. We didn't want to be too pushy so we walked near them but didn't go right up to them.

We were dreamed at California Adventure, on the Pacific Wharf bridge at approximately 10:30 AM on Monday, September 8...dream fast passes! :)

(Didn't need them, though...the crowds were so small that virtually everything was a walk on!) :)
