If you're going around Halloween, I'd go to Epcot. That way you can enjoy at least the food booths of the Food & Wine Festival.

If you have never been to either park you are, in my opinion, short changing yourself. Both parks are very different, but both very beautiful. The Lion King show at AK is excellent, Expedition Everest, Dinosaur,Kali River Rapids...all are great! Could you do AK during early morning and Epcot late afternoon and evening? You can't go to Disney and not do EPCOT!!! There was a time when we would go to Orlando for 7-10 days and try to cram in all Orlando has to offer. Now, I am perfectly content with staying on Disney property and doing nothing but Disney. There is plenty to do without having to rent a car and leave the boundries of The World. Someday we may take a vacation and do Universal, Sea World....but for now, we are very content with Disney. I couldn't make this decision....could not choose one or the other! Both parks are a must!

We rotate between skipping the Studios and AK each year! We love a lot of down time.
