if you had to skip one park???

I could never imagine NOT going to Epcot...skip AK. It is true about it being 20 degrees hotter in there, which is strange because it's so full of greenery, you would think with all the trees it would be cooler.

If my family had to choose we would skip DHS, it's our least favorite out of the 4. We probably wouldn't spend 2 days at Universal either, I think you can do both Universal parks in one day, we didn't need 2 days to see everything.

It's your vacation, and this is just my opinion....you'll have a great time regardless what you decide. Have fun!! :thumbsup2

Our family's favorite park is AK and we often spend 2 days of our 5 day trips there. If it were us, we'd skip the Studios before we'd give up either Epcot or AK. And, like one PP said, I don't think I'd ever give up a "real" park to spend time at a water park, but that's me!

p.s.I would add Flights of Wonder to the must do at AK!

I personally would skip AK, but my family would kill me if they found this out!!:lmao: :scared1:

Here's what we usually do at AK:

Expedition Everest
Chester and Hester's Dinorama
Dinosaur
Kilamjaro Safaris
It's Tough to be a Bug
The water ride-I can't think of it right now

EPCOT:

Pretty much everything!! We usually have to take two days to do that because of how big it is. But, I LOVE it there at night because everything just seems to be sooo much more alive and prettier!!

But, I could skip AK or at least being there for a whole day. I could do about four hours there and be fine.

Holy moly!!! I, my family, thought that we were the only ones who thought it was hotter in AK than any other park!!! We always said that they must pump heat in there!!! ::lmao:: It'a ALWAYS at least 20 degrees more in there!!!

Nice to know that we're not alone!!!! ::thumbsup2::

I wouldn't want to skip either but if push came to shove we would skip Epcot. Personally, I would go to AK on the chill day and go to Epcot the other day. That being said, I have never been to AK in the summer so my opinion could vary greatly with the heat.

I don't think anyone has really addressed the park hopper being worth it question. The park hopper is really worth it if you will utilize most of your days. Frankly, I don't think it's worth the extra expense for 1 day. If you are going to use it probably each day that you'd visit a park then, yes, it is worth it.

I guess I'm in the minority, but without a doubt, the park I'd skip is Hollywood Studios.

If you had to skip one park, I always recommend to pass up AK.

Another vote to skip AK. I couldn't skip HS- Beauty and the Beast, the Ariel show, the Great movie ride, and TSM are all musts for me. And if I have time, the Stunt Show and Indiana Jones. I can't think of any must-dos in AK. If I have time, sure, but nothing that I will be devastated if I missed. Why two days in Universal though? Could you just do one day and then hit all the parks?

I would skip Universal...so much more at all the parks of disney

Epcot is my favorite and I disagree about not being a fav for kids. My kids would tell you next to Mk that is the fav.

AK is nice but is not Epcot, and frankly I would rate AK above MGM...there is not much to do at MGM once you get beyond the big rides. I mean how manytimes do you need to see B and B and the other shows aren;t all that.

Least AK is a bit unique

Think sauna!

Op - how old are the members in your family? I didn't see it in your original posting. I think that could make a difference on which park to skip. I must be in the moniority b/c my children and my in-laws LOVE, LOVE, LOVE AK.

Either skip AK altogether or, if you can park hop, hit the major attractions at AK first thng in the morning then head over to Epcot.

I would never give up Epcot, that is our fav park. We usually hit AK every other year

Animal Kingdom...without question. Although I would also either go to Universal Studios or Hollywood Studios. I would never do both in one trip, but your priorities may be different. I would never dream of skipping EPCOT as it is my favorite park.

I agree I would skip universal. I love AK the Lion king show and the Nemo show are awsome.

But.....I could almost skip MGM as well. I really like Expedition Everest and the safari ride but I could skip most of the rest. I know I know I said MGM...it will always be MGM for me. Fantasmic! was one of my favorite things to do but after seeing DL's version I am not so excited to see MGM's now. The boat at the end is hilarious. It's like a little tug boat.
