If you dont have ebags packing cubes. Run. And get them now.

FREE PACKING CUBES!!! Read below.

Ok, so not the particular brand of packing cubes we are discussing here, but I use my own free version that are just as good if not better (because they are free!). I've been using them for years. Here's what I do:

I keep all of the clear heavy plastic zipper pouches that things like curtains, blankets, etc come in. Then I use them for packing. I have all different sizes, and they last a long time. They are clear, durable, and various sizes so packing is so easy. I pack 5 - 8 of them in a suitcase. And when I get to the hotel I toss 2-3 of them in a drawer, organized by type of clothes (pjs in one sack, undies/socks in another, etc). They are clear, so I can easily find what I'm looking for.

And when they are empty, I fill them up with dirty laundry and put them in my suitcase to take home, each day tossing one of them in the suitcase (because we generate a lot of laundry!). It makes packing up the room a snap at the end of the trip.

They have been a lifesaver.

Anyway, I hope this saves a few of you a couple of $$. Try it! You will be impressed, I promise :)

I keep them too :) Right now I use them for blankets, sleeping bags, etc for camping. Been thinking about starting to use them for packing cubes. I just can't stomach paying the price for packing cubes - I can buy luggage cheaper than that LOL!

I've been using the clear zipper casings for years. Mostly for my liquid things that could potentially ruin my luggage but used to use them for some clothes before this stage of our lives. In the past I would never have spent this money on the cubes, but now I'm "old" and what else do I have to spend money on. LOL kidding.

Anyway, if you have the right sizes of the clear probably sheet zipper things it would work really good too.

Oh and ziplock bags have worked too.

But I like my ebags. I temporarily organized my son's underwear draw with his set. LOL When he visits his grandparents he uses a duffle bag so these will be great!!! And the prepacked bags I can get him out the door faster.

Doing the laundry to pack this weekend and all my Ebags are ready to go.
I'm watching the weather, but it looks warm enough for all summer and just a pair of leggings and capris.

If it does turn cold all I have to do is yank the top-shorts ebag and change out that bag really fast.

I have never found the clear reusable zippered bags to last... I use them for Christmas decorations and they rip and crack quickly.

I just ordered packing cubes... thanks to all that posted their experiences and discount codes! :):):)

I tried the huge ziploc nags and it was a nightmare! They all slipped around my bag, I feel like I was more disorganized in my bag with them. The ebags are seriously the best thing I've found. I justness them for a quick girls trip to Disneyland a few weeks ago and love them for short trips too!

Thanks for the discount code, I could resist and ordered the 3pc set with the 3 slim cubes. Between my self and ds I'm sure to use them all. DH isn't convinced- his loss. I also have a set of pro packing cubes on my amazon wish list, can't have too many. I'm figuring for our flight down I can pack changes of clothes/ diapers in one and organize ds' toys. After disney I can probably use them to keep my diaper bag organized

My DH wasn't convinced either. But I just order him some anyway. LOL
We should be all set and worse comes to worse, I got my inlaws some for Christmas and will snag theirs if I need extras. LOL

3 weeks from typing this I'll be sitting on Magic Express.
:cheer2:

I kept a watchful eye on the bags. They often had greatly reduced styles and colors. On top of that I have found 15% -25% mark downs and free shipping. I may have spent $30 for the sets I got $19.99 and $12.99.

Got mine the other day in the mail- they're bigger than I thought they would be! I cannot wait to try them out during my Christmas trip back home. DH was still unimpressed- oh well he'll be jealous when I'm organized and he's a mess!

Mine refuses to show he is impressed. We'll see when I pack him up if he changes his attitude. He usually has a delayed reaction to these kind of things. I'll know when he starts telling others they should try them. LOL

I bought his parents each a set for Christmas. He didn't poo poo the idea so either he is swaying or he didn't want to bother to get involved in figuring out a gift. :lmao:

I started packing but then took things out because we got some unusual warm weather here. Gotta love the seasons of New England.

I can't believe two weeks to go. And of course yesterday I got an invite for a 4 year olds Birthday party next Sunday. Really? Don't people know I'm going to be busy?

2 weeks!!! I can't believe it!
Laundry to do today. Then the cubes start to get reloaded again.

Don't know if maybe someone here could help me, I've been searching for an answer before I buy some packing cubes.

I have a large Vera Bradley duffle, I've looked at the dimensions of the bag and the packing bags but does anyone have experience with using packing bags inside a Vera Bradley duffle? I was thinking of getting the 3 pack with the small, medium and large packing bags but wonder how they would fit.

Thanks!

We have found the small, medium and the slims to be the most useful. The large would be a tight fit into the VB Duffel. I use the medium for shirts/shorts. The smalls and slims I use for underwear, socks, and miscellaneous. The large i use to store all the mediums/slim/smalls or when i run out of the medium/slim/smalls. :)

As for the VB duffel...you could probably easily get 4 mediums or 6 smalls into it...with room left over. the large would probably fit as well but it might make the bag bulge some on the width.

I just bought a bunch of these. A 3 piece large for my husband and then three 3 piece medium sets for myself and the two boys. Color coded them to our magic bands :rotfl: I couldn't resist. I got free shipping so the whole things was a little under $100. After receiving them, I can't say I'm overwhelmed by the purchase, and it's hard for me to see how they hold THAT much, but the reviews here and on ebags are so overwhelmingly good that I guess I'll hold onto them.
