If you dont have ebags packing cubes. Run. And get them now.

These things are awesome. I can very easily pack my husband's stuff and just shove it in the drawer or he can do it himself when traveling for business. They just help keep everything organized and compressed in the suitcase.

I personally use the medium and large sizes most because my husband wears cargo shorts and those suckers are bulky!!

I need some more. Oh and the shoe bags are really great.

The pack it flat toiletry bag rocks too and makes it so easy to fit more without a big bulky bag for it.

Why don't I have these already?

Going to Disney with a five year old and two year old twins . . . already wondering how in the world I'm going to pack. These will definitely help!

Read this post earlier in the week--obsessed over what sizes to get & now I already have 3 sets of medium size (1 set for each of us) and a pack of the slim cubes. I started testing how clothes would fit and they. are. awesome. I'm wondering if the Hubs and I each need at least one large each though for pants/shorts/etc. Love the different colors and I can already see how easy it's going to make unpacking...and i think it'll make our split stay transition much easier.

It works really well with the large. I don't know why, but everything fits so nice. I can put 2 pairs of pants, capris, add the shorts and still have room for tops.

I think the large ones are great for adults. I could out a TON of my clothes in a large. I'm pretty sure I packed 5 bottoms and 7-10 tops of mine in a large. I just kept adding and was shocked at how much was fitting. Men's clothes will take up more space but still can fit a lot in.

We've used packing bags for about 8 years;I got a set of Rick Steve's ones before a trip to Europe. The ebags are a similar idea.
This is a video I found that should help show how to use them.

We found them so helpful that we use them every time we travel, whether it is 2 days or 2 weeks. Rolling clothes helps you to get more in and keeps them less wrinkled. For short trips, we just leave them in the suitcase and take things out as needed. For longer trips, we pull the packing bags out of the suitcase and pop them into a drawer. It takes a few minutes to unpack and then repack again.

Wow!! I've never heard of these. Thank you for posting! This forum is THE BEST!

OK, so you guys are totally responsible for the spending spree I just went on ;)
We go on quick family trips several times a year in addition to visiting all of our family who are out of town. AND we're headed to Universal and Disney for a total of 9 days in December. I've been wanting some decent pieces of luggage; especially since DH has to fly periodically, too. Anyway, I ordered a set of the ebags wheeled duffels and a bunch of the packing cubes. I did make sure it would arrive on a day when DH has to work late, so I don't have to explain why we NEED them! I think these are going to my my life so much easier when we travel!

You won't regret it...it makes Mom's life so much easier when all you want to do is go have some fun.

I'm hooked on Ikea's! 3 for $5.99.

Same here! We have 2 Ikeas near me. We just went to Korea for a week followed by Hawaii for a week, and fell in love with them! The Ikea ones are not sold online, but I got pink and navy ones in the store (I really bought a lot of them, as we needed lots of nicer clothes for the Korea trip to visit family). I was amazed at how much we could fit in them, and after 15 years of using space bags, I am ready to throw them out.

Ours from Ikea were sets of 4 for about $9.

Had my husband's stuff all packed this past week for a weeklong business trip. We picked him up from the airport and drive to a theme park for the weekend. Turns out he had almost all my packing cubes with him so I had to pack 3 people with no cubes! It was miserable and I missed them the whole weekend! I will be buying more now since that just can't happen again.

I didn't know how much I need them until this weekend. I knew I loved them, but man are they necessary and we were in tight quarters for the weekend with no way to unpack. The cubes would have been extremely helpful.

Look for them at TJ Maxx or Marshalls. They have them in their very small travel accessory section (ours used to be by the luggage, but they moved it up by the registers). Sometimes they have the Ebags brand, but the last time I was there I bought a package of Sharper Image packing cubes for my Mom for $12.99 (I think). It had one large, one medium and one small packing cube in the pack. They don't have an assortment of colors though, I think they were all gray.

Got my Dot&Dot packing cubes on Amazon. They have assorted sizes and they also have a slim packing cube, shoe bag, hanging toiletry kit, travel bottles, etc.

I have a question about the packing cubes? I keep reading they allow you to fit so much in them? Are you able to pack more using them than if you didn't use any at all and if so wont that up the chance you'll have a weight issue? I am intrigued by them though.

Yes, you have to watch your weight limit because the cubes allow you to pack so much more. I have found that I can use a smaller piece of luggage (therefore easier to handle and not going over the dimension limits) and fill it up to the weight limit.

ok I saw this post earlier today and have been obsessing over should I buy them since. Finally after 1am I couldn't go to bed and just went for it and ordered a set. Once I made the decision to buy the hard part was picking a color. Since I didn't want to buy two sets (yet) I wanted to maximize the use by getting a color that DH would use when he travels for business. I bought the 6 piece set and a set of medium.

He couldn't understand why I was considering, but now that I ordered I hope when we use them he also is sold. ;) I did also order a slim set in purple for me. But the others are all in Titanium. I figured when we pack for Disney I'll just add some purple ribbon on the ones I use.

I've been packing sets of clothing for years in zip lock bags and although that works for me fairly well, I like the idea of just putting these in the drawers when we get there.

I also pack a pop up hamper because I know I'm going to want the stinky socks to air out :rolleyes1 before I put them back in the packing cubes. I like the tip someone gave about a dryer sheet. Atlhough the socks might get packed in a ziplock first.

Thanks for sharing your tips.
I'll report back as I'll be packing soon. Weather in New England had me a sweatshirt today, so the sleeveless stuff can get packed along with shorts and bathing suit.

I can't find these on IKEAS website. Does anybody know if you can get them if you don't have a IKEA store near you?

the original poster said they only have them in the stores but not on website.

I have one about an hour or so away, but I don't know if I could get there before my trip so I just spend the extra on ebags.
