Yes it's a great price.....it's my uncles static caravan so we're getting it free . If we get bad weather we'll be back in the car and either book into an hotel or head home...as you know I DON'T do roughing it

I forgot to add we saw a rattle snake this morning right where we all were. It was just hanging out on the trail to our tent. Had we seen that bad boy the first day, we would not have stayed!

Clearly Big D is wiser than Slim M. Sometimes I think DH looks for things to get pissy over. I cannot imagine why though. I did underestimate how much the trip is going to cost though by about $1,500k. The cruise may not happen. I need to look over the numbers again. I think I have too much souvenir money planned.

And speaking of the cruise, I wonder where Jenna is? I think they were going to get the kids from Nate's parents this Saturday.

Last night all 3 kids stayed over at the neighbors and are planning to sluff school today. It's our last week and they are doing nothing but total waste of time nonsense. We are such loser parents allowing them to skip but I guess so are the neighbors. I wish I didn't have to work today or we'd be at the pool.

The first is the total with the cruise and the 2nd is without but longer in WDW. The cruise total does not have much flexibility but the WDW total does. Are you perfectly confused now?

This is what happens when I rhuminate.



From the WDW trip, we could trim:

~ Post DVC resort. I have it priced for the FW Cabin, which looks like a lot of fun and has the Campfire thang with Chip and Dale that Chloe really wanted to do last time. Anyway we could stay at the POR again and take off the $200 for the golf cart and about $800 off the price of the room; so there's $1K right there.

~ Souvenirs could be less but I am also afraid I would be being unrealistic. Even DH has limited control once we are there. If you recall my children spent there whopping $25 DH promised them for souvenirs over 3x each.

~ Food. Once we are on our own at the resort, and not on the DDP, we could go pretty cheap on food, doing mostly all CS. because we'll be buying 10 day Hoppers when we first arrive, we'll be booking room only for the last 4 nights and won't be eligible for the DDP.

~ Skipping one or both of the extras like the GG or PP & P. There would be another $200- $400 there.

He doesn't know all of the details but he gets the idea! He likes the idea of the cruise, it's just the cost he'll balk at. I don't really blame him. I really thought we could do the trip for $6K max but now looking at the realistic numbers, me thinks the cruise might be a pipe dream. Jenna says there will be deals once it gets closer.

We have time but not that much. We can make our ADRs on November 11 which sounds really far away but it's not Jenna can make the DVC reservations at the 7 month mark because we aren't trying to stay at her home resort which is SSR. If we do the cruise we are hoping to do a split stay between the OKW and AKL; I am not sure how she books that. I know nuttin' about the life of a DVCer!

Either way, cruise or not, it will be a fab trip. I guess I should just continue to save and see if any great cruise deals become available.

DH cannot believe I am even thinking about this vacation so soon. Little does he know I started thinking about over 500 days ago. When will he learn?!
