:rotfl2: :lmao: As much as I'd like to say that I am just being sly and trying throw Michael off the scent, we really may not do the cruise. It's just SO much more money at this point. If we get a nice tax return then we'll be able to do it but we won't know that until early Feb. :confused3 This not knowing is the anxiety that drives my trip planning!:hyper:

That's a bit of a cliff hanger isn't it? How would that work out if Jenna's got to book the 2 resorts seven months in advance:confused: ? Sorry I'm all questions questions questions tonight, it's probably because I'm so focused on the fact that tomorrow it will be.....365 DAYS UNTIL WDW BAYBEEEEEZZZZ:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: (and also because I'm trying to block out the fact that in less than 48hours I'm going to a caravan in the back of beyond for two weeks  )

366 days baybee!!!!! :hyper: :worship: :cool1: :hyper: :worship: :cool1:

She would have to book 2 stays but she says it's fairly easy. If the resorts we want are booked then we'll go on a wait list. The OKW GV is as big as the finished part of my house!!! :woohoo: 2,500 sq feet of Disney love! It'll be pure heaven! :cloud9: Great friends, roomy place to crash, full kitchen, and best of all mousekeeping!!!! :rotfl2:

:faint: The caravan begins in 2 days? :lmao: Are you packed? Have you got enough Xanax, Ativan, booze?

I have done absolutely nada:worried: . Becci's finishing up primary school tomorrow. She finishes at 1pm so I have to go shopping for groceries & holiday essentials, pay some bills and try to not strangle Niamh before then. I then have to collect Bex and take her to the hairdressers so that she can get highlights:( . I then have to pack the bags and pack the car :faint: . I have a large bottle of gin, a couple of books and some dvds to try to preserve my sanity...not a hope in hell some would say (you can't preserve what was never there in the first place :rolleyes1 ) I was hoping to meet up tomorrow night with one of my friends who's going to Ethiopia for six weeks before we get back from Gairloch but some how I think I've got no chance:crazy2:

:rotfl2: You need to get movin' sister. I fear you don't have enough gin. ;) Does Becci always get highlights? Is Niamh being a pain in the keester? Why is it when we've got loads to do, the chillins' misbehave? I am convinced they feel our anxiety and react accordingly. :goodvibes Just reading about all you've got to do is making me want a little drinkie.

My gf from Canada arrived last night. I won't get her until Monday so my plan for this weekend is to clean like mad. She is an uber clean freak, makes me look down right sloppy, so the kids will be tortured with cleaning out drawers etc.......:rotfl:

I KNOW...I have SO much to do. It's so overwhelming that all I can do is sit on my fat ar$$e in front of the Dis and drink gin :lmao:
My mum's coming to the shops with me to try to control the wild one...I totally agree with your theory, Niamh becomes Rosemary's Baby when she sences I'm getting uptight about anything. I will achieve all my objectives but it means that I'll also have fallen out with everyone by the end of the day:headache: . This is Becci's first time with the highlights...she's been desperate to get them and she's acting so flakey just lately that I thought "why not go the whole hogg and become a dumb blonde;) ". No offence to any blondes out there, I was one from the time that I left my first husband until I married Big D...scary but true:rotfl2:

Good luck with the obsessive cleaning...sounds like a busy weekend in the Sheets household:eek:

Rosemary's Baby. :scared1: That movie scared the crud out of me. Mia Farrow was perfect for that role; all pale and frail.

That's nice that your mother can go shopping with you. Shopping with mine would send me over the proverbial egde. :crazy2: And having her help with the kids, you are beyond blessed! :goodvibes My mutha has actually been a little more lucid lately. She changed positions at work and seems to be a little happier which in turn makes her kvetch less. :rotfl2:

Post a pic of Bex's highlights after. Gab got some a few summers ago and I think it permenantly lightened her hair. :thumbsup2

A dirty gin martini sounds ultra delicious right now. We've got piano practice and a t-ball game tonight so no gin for me until after that. :hyper:

This weekend should be pretty busy:

Friday: My work summer party is tomorrow night at Surf n Swim. I am not quite sure why my employer wants to see us all in our bathing suits but we'll be there. It's at the local pool we always go to but it usually closes at 7 pm so this will be fun because the kids will get to swim in the dark.

Saturday: Clean  and then the kids are going to my friend's house that night so will finish cleaning.

Sunday: Final once over and then I am going to take the kids swimming.

Monday: Final final once over and then taking the kids to another pool. My gf arrives this night until Saturday morning. :woohoo:

Thanks for the coundown honey...much appreciated. I would normally be doing backflips but I got some heartbreaking news today. My mum's best friend (who is like an aunt to me) phoned my mum from the hospital to say that her grandaughter who is four months younger than Becci took a cerebral hemoragh this morning and the doc's say that the bleeding is so deep that there is no hope for her. This was supposed to be her last day at primary school today the same as Becci and she's lying in a coma. Life is $hit sometimes....Jenny I thing you should go on the cruise and stay in Disney for as long as you can because you never know what's round the corner. Life's short, enjoy as much of it as you can

Hi guys!!!:grouphug: Yes, I am alive but just busy! I've missed you all! :goodvibes

Anywho, I hope to start my trippie soon (I'm just going to butt in on Jenny's pre-trippie & post it here.) I'm waiting for my not-so-dear husband to download my pics. I'd do it myself, but the laptop doesn't have the picture software anymore (long story). So, as soon as Nate has a moment to download, I'll get started.:worship:

I'll have to go back & read what I missed. The boys have a doctor's appt. this afternoon, so maybe I'll get back on later.:surfweb:

BTW Jenny I got your messages. My cell phone was dead in the car & I finally found the charger & charged it. I like your message...Are u alive? :rotfl: ;)

Can't wait to hear about it! And apparently...Jenny left you messages like my motha leaves me!!! :rotfl2:

Except the mousekeeping doesn't come everyday! :sad2: Only after 4 and 8 days...or something like that! :faint: We called down for 30 washclothes...because they only give you like 4...and the lady laughed at us...and then realized we were serious! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the  . I'm finding it all a bit unreal, I've not told Becci yet and I'm not sure exactly how to do it. Leaving primary school behing today's been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for her so I may leave it a day or two...or not. I'm not sure what to do for the best to be honest:worried:

 OMG honey, that's just awful. :worried: Life is total crap sometimes, I totally agree. My thoughts will be with you all. :goodvibes Life is so totally short and without reason a lot of the time. I am sorry sweetie.

Gin is your friend. ;) Michael goes on these kind of calls all the time where it's virtually impossible not to imagine it being your child. I wish I had something brilliant to say.

:scared1: No mousekeeping daily? Holy crap! Guess I'll be cleaning afterall with our sloppy party of 10.

Kirsteen I'm so sorry about the little girl, how terrible

BTW have we ever seen what you look like? With all the talk about posting photos of your DD's new highlights I can't remember if we know what you look like?

So I stayed up late last night pouring over dining and resort options. I don't know why I am so obsessed. :confused3 DH asked me last night and I truly think researching Disney stuff is a way for me to unwind and relax. Odd I know but if anyone can understand, you all can. :goodvibes

 I think having the DDP will actually cost me more money, than if we dined like we normally do, which is not necessarily a bad thing, it's just what it is. I am in the process of looking over the menus and getting a kind guesstimate about what we'd eat and then figuring the tip. I mean really, without the DDP, we'd never eat at a TS daily. We'd do maybe one character meal and possibly one nice TS, most likey a 2 TS, and that's about it. We are really big sharers (is that a word?) and with the DDP we waste a lot. I am thinking we'll end up with left over credits again and stocking up on snacks and treats before we leave.

My next mulling was over where to stay post DVC if we don't do the cruise. Would it be total blashephemy to stay *gasp* off site? :faint: Now it's just a thought but I have been lurking over on the off site board and those folks seem no less happy and fullfilled than we onsiters appear. Do they know something we don't? A two bedroom condo with a full kitchen and pool for $99a night? Can it be true? scratchin: That's a hell of a deal!!! Do they lose some of the magic or do they experince more because they have more $$$ to spend and indulge with? Is the hotel worth being my indulgence?

Look on the first page. I have a link to her and the Big D dressed up in costumes. :thumbsup2

Thank you all for your:hug: , it was really helpful to be able to "talk" with someone until Donny came home. I ended up telling Becci because my mum phoned to say that the doc's had been trying something to help but that nothing had worked and they were now waiting for the donor co ordonator to come to speak to them. Bex was totally wasted at first but she a bit like me now...everythings fine until you have nothing to occupy you and then it jumps back into the front of your mind.

I totally get that Dis is your therapy Jenny, I use it as a big stress relief....hmmm along with a wee sniffter or two;) . WTH am I going to do for the next two weeks up in the north western highland:scared1:

I love your indexing Jenny it's so cool:cool1:

I had a look at the DDP a while back and we definately thought it would not be worth it for our family as we're not into having a TS every night and the girls are not big eaters. We also share.....if you call Big D clearing what everybody else has left over on their plate:rotfl2:

:goodvibes for Becci. I am sure she'll have her difficult moments. They are just so young that's it's almost mind boggling when a teen or child passes. We are here for you anytime! Don't hesitate to use me for my effective listening skills. ;)

Did Becci get her highlights?

Oh yeah, me gusta a wee sniffter while researching :woohoo: My bev of choice has been Grape Smirnoff coolers. :cloud9: Laying in bed with a dim light, some Disney media, and a grape cooler, and I am golden! :thumbsup2

If we skip the cruise, we'll have the DDP with Jenna for those first 6 nights/7 days and then we'll be on our own without the DDP the rest of the time. If Jenna et al decide to stay longer then we'll hash out the details of staying on the DDP. I'll just make sure to do all the spendy meals up front and save Sci-Fi and the like for when we are sans the dining plan.

Have you started packing? Aren't you leaving tomorrow? :scared1:

Have you started packing? Aren't you leaving tomorrow? :scared1:

Not completely packed yet:worried: I was going to then my mum phoned to say that they'd turned off the life support....I then pulled it together and my bro appeared at the door and set us all off again. So G & T in hand I am going up to finish the packing now.

Becci got her highlights and they're lovely I'll post a picie when we get back. We're leaving at 7am tomorrow morning:eek: so I better get my ar$e in gear and get sorted

Oh Kirsteen I'm so sorry

Have a wonderful holiday though and I hope the weather is kind :goodvibes

My HO is that if you can stay close enough and don't mind driving and the cost of the villa/hotel is less than WDW once you add on the $10+ a day for parking then go for it. Especially as you're now thinking no DDP, which BTW we would never buy as it is definitely way too much food for us, also the EMH's are just way too busy so not a perk!

Jenny we need to teach you how to link stuff without showing the link IYKWIM. So .......................

When you post a link into the reply it looks something like this......

Untitled.jpg

Don't touch anything, see where it's gone blue well just type what you want and it will become the link, like below! Also if you just want to link 1 post click on the post number in the right hand corner, this post is 1640 and just copy and paste the code as normal. Hope I've helped and you don't mind me telling you

Link to Jenny's TR!!!!!
