Sorry Winkers,:rolleyes1 it's a term used during the British Empires rule in India. It's like afternoon tea....they refer to it alot in the film "Carry on up the Khyber" (cultural classic;) ):rotfl2:

Never heard of that movie............I guess I'll have to add it to my netflix list.:rotfl:

Hi guys!!!!:wave2: :goodvibes

I haven't posted in ages and I know I have sooooooo much to catch up on, but I wanted to give a drive-by post from here in Yellowstone! Hard to believe I have internet access! We are having a blast although Jenny & her family leave in the morning and I'm really bummed about that.:sad1: It went by way to quick!! We have lots of pics to share though!

Hope everyone is doing well!! I miss you guys!!

Hi Jenna it's so good to hear from you, we've all really missed you:grouphug: .

Glad to hear you all had a fabby time and I'm looking forward to the wee TR:woohoo:

:wave2: Hi guys. We just got home and unpacked the car. :faint: I am dirty and tired but we had a fabulous time!!!!! :thumbsup2 I love Jenna et al even more than ever. We took a ton of photos and even got a few of some Peeps! :rotfl2: The weather was perfect and the company even better. :grouphug: DH is going to upload the photos soon, I promise, and then I'll post them. I can't wait until he asks what's up with the Asian families! :rotfl:

I can't believe we won't see out friends for another 8+ months. DH and Gab will see them next month in DC but I'll have to wait.

Hope you guys are all doing well; happy and healthy! Any word from Jo? :hyper:

And as far as the new title teaser, it's G rated, I swear. :lmao:

Why are they going to DC? oh, and does that mean Washington DC or disney california?

:goodvibes Washington DC not DCA. :rotfl2: Gabby is going with People to People and since I am a :hyper: paranoid freak show, Michael and my FIL are going as well so someone will be nearby in the event of an emergency. My FIL has a cousin that lives near Arlington so he and DH are going to stay there and tour DC while Gab is at her leadership forum. Jenna et al live less than 5 hours from DC so they are going to meet DH, Gab, and my FIL there the weekend of the 13th. :thumbsup2

How fun! If I were you I'd be following along incognito. I'd probably end up on the 6 o clock news as the crazy terrorist suspect the secret service found squatting in a bush across from the white house, in full camo and branches atached to my head.

:rotfl2: :rotfl: I can see you now!!!! I have thought about it, believe me. Having DH go seems like a fair compromise. I found uber cheap airfare, $212 each RT, from SLC to Washington Dulles. :thumbsup2 My FIL's cousin is not only putting the guys up but they've got their choice of vehicles to drive: the Porsche or their Ford F150. :confused3 Tough choice huh?! ;)

I really waffled with allowing Gab to go but it really is a once in a lifetime opp and although it's easy to say we could take her to DC and do the same sorts of things, we really wouldn't. I just wouldn't ever choose DC as a total vacation destination at this point. Maybe I would when the Disney trips are more frequent or the Pina Coladas taste less fabulous in Mexico. ;)

Are the winkers kids ready for school?

We're almost ready. School starts a week from tomorrow. I signed my baby up for high school today!:sad2: I'm so not ready for it! I did think about bring my camera along so I could take pictures. I decided there are more fun and sneaky ways of embarassing him!

Oh Winkers, feeling your pain believe me. Becci started high school on Monday and I was crying as she walked out of our street:blush: . I was on pins all day but she thoroughly enjoyed it....next up Niamh starting nursery next month:scared: (too many milestones happening this year, don't like it:sad2: ).

High school? :faint: :goodvibes Mine start school on Monday too. :scratchin Let's think of ways to help embarrass him............pirate:

Welcome back Jenny and Jenna! Glad you had a great time!

 It was so much fun. Today is my first day back at work and it's already :scared: but I am going to try to begin our mini-trippie within this trippie. :upsidedow

How are you? :yoda:?

Bex started too? All my DIS friends have high-schoolers! :rotfl2: Better you than me ladies! ;) How was your weekend?

So..................I got home from Saturday's Voyeur about 10:30. Jenna et al were set to arrive about 11:30 pm. I had just enough time to throw their sheets in the dryer. The plan was to have Jenna, Nate, and Emma sleep in Gab's room while the boys all slept in Joshua's room. :thumbsup2 Last time it seemed to work well.

I get a call about 11 pm or so and they are about 45 minutes away. :cool1: The kids and I were bouncing off the walls unlike their last visit when the kids fell alseep hours before they arrived.

A little under an hour later we got a call from Jenna saying that they were 3 miles away. :hyper: The kids and I went outside to wait. I am sure the neighbors thought we were insane for jumping up and down and screaming with excitement at midnight. Gab finally got too embarrassed and went inside but Chloe and Joshua waited with me. All of a sudden we see their car turn into our subdivision!!!! Nate flashed the lights and pulled into the driveway. There were lots of hugs to go around!!! :grouphug: It felt like old friends reuniting. The kids were all kinds of jacked up to see each other. I think Jenna and I had done a pretty good job of sending bday gifts, cards, and phone calls so they still "knew" each other. :goodvibes

The kids got settled and then is when it happened..........the food that would be a reoccurring theme throughout the visit...........pizza rolls. Nasty Totinos Pizza Rolls. :rotfl2: Gab said she was hungry which in turn made everyone realize they were hungry so being the good host I am I offered to cook. :flower3: Grilled quesadillas? Nathan's hot dogs (remember it was 1 am by this time)? Eggs, pancakes? Nope. My guests wanted Pizza Rolls. :lmao: I cooked up a plate of some and they were gobbled down but mostly by Emma and Gabby. :cutie: The next morning what do you think Emma wanted for breakfast? ::yes:: Pizza Rolls. Made my life very easy. :thumbsup2

Anyway we chatted and finally went to bed just after 2 am.

Friday: The plan today was for my FIL to take the Master men to the Hill Air Force Base Aerospace Museum. http://www.hill.af.mil/library/museum/index.asp We live about 10 minutes from HAFB. :thumbsup2 I woke up fairly early and I think our guests woke up around 9ish. I guess Nate got up around 6 to make phone calls for work. For some strange reason, Nate sat in his car to make calls. :guilty: He didn't want to wake us. My friends are very considerate. :woohoo:

The kids all ate pizza rolls and corn dogs before taking off to the museum. We women folk were all set for a day of pre-camping shopping. That means we went shopping for food. ;) We did some decent damage at Sam's and Walmart but not before going out to lunch. We went to Wingers which is by no means great but it's close and good.

We all met at the house about 4:30. I had every intention of making pasta for dinner but guess what? We ordered pizza from Papa John's. At this point the only cooking I had done was to brew coffee. I think I lost like 50 Martha Stewart points on this one day alone. After pizza, we chatted and the kids played outside. Before dinner Nate decided he was antsy and wanted something to do. I kid you not he wanted to do yard work. Who I am to deprive a guest of their wish? He and Jon watered all my freshly planted greenery and Nate did some weeding too. :lmao: He really wanted to. :confused3 I think he was chicked out.

After dinner and weeding, we went to the station to visit DH who is a :firefight He took us in their new engine and drove us around and the kids had a blast with the lights and sirens. :yay: In the middle of our visit, DH got a mutual aid fire call for a nearby city. Off he went and off we went or so we tried. This is when Nate jumped my beast............................................

Do I want to know what "nate jumping your beast" refers to?:scared:

Sounds like a great trip so far . . . can't wait to hear about the beast jumping! popcorn::

Now you've got me thinking about Totino's pizza rolls -- I'll have to get me some of those!

They are pretty good for a cheap bite. Gab is totally addicted. Sam's Club has the best deals.

I successfully uploaded the pics onto iphot but cannot get them on Photobucket. :headache: I spent 2 hours last trying after the kids went to bed.
