How about putting the "bite" on them?
Oh dear! Many years ago I was in the middle of a "heated" discussion with my DH. He stuck his finge in my face, and without thinking I bit him. I have no idea who was more shocked, him or me! In over 25 years, he has never done that again, so his fingers are safe! LOL!
I have also learned that I need to think before I bite.
That's sad. I'm part of a society that takes responsibility for the community. It's not based on anything religious, just the understanding that as human beings living together we can make that community better by caring about each other and helping out as much as we can. I also couldn't live with myself if that finger-pointing whackadoodle escalated with the next person and hurt/killed that person.
Oh my word, walking away from a dolt who is waving a finger in your face is not taking responsibility for society? It is my opinion that the best lesson any of can learn is when to walk away.
