If you will be paying off your vacation balance with a debit card, you may not be able to do it all in one payment I just discovered that we can only pay $1,000 a day on our debit card. so I will have to call back 2 more times, thank goodness I didnt wait till our 45 day marker!! This is just a word of warning for those who didnt already know this.

I dont know. I didnt try it, they just told me to pay the $1000 today, and then call tomorrow and pay another $1000 then call the next day to pay the rest of it off.

Most bank will give you a temporary increase that lasts for 24 hours. Every bank/debit card holder has a different daily limit. Ours is $2,500 per day. When I was paying off our Disney trip they gave us a 24 hour increase to $5,000.

I am a banker...I tell all my clients when making a large purchase call me first. I can reset the purchase limits to allow the charge to go thru. It really stinks when they are in at Best Buy and they know that their acct has enough money. Also if you use your debit while at the world, notify your bank before you go. Sometimes it looks like suspicious activity and they will put a temporary block on it until you call them. I know bc I work here and it happened to me!
