Oh I have a Disney shirt for you if you want it. The one I bought a few months ago that's gray with Mickey and Minnie on it? It doesn't fit me at all, so I bought the same shirt in a bigger size so if you want it you can have it.

No, I haven't told her yet since I just decided on the dates. I'm sure she'll find out sooner or later. I am afraid she'll let it slip.

I am going to try to wait as long as possible before telling Caitlin. Part of my wants to wait until May, but I might just want until X-mas.

I am going to send the wristlet back today. I think maybe I'd like the pink better, maybe green?

2 years ago my fam surprised me with a trip to dis too. after they told me they said they should have waited to the morning of They told me by making me a little photobook of our past trips there and at the end it had a who/what/where/when sheet and at first i was like 'what' haha i wish they made wallet versions of the disney dooney. that's what i really want

Did you like being surprised or do you wish you had known? I feel bad that we won't be doing a countdown chain or anything but to be honest I think I was happier everytime we took a day down. DD didn't really get excited until we were actually there.

I have told her we will probably go within the next year so that she knows to save her piggy bank money for Disney. She just had her birthday so now she has over $100 in her Disney fund.

The flights are cheaper the Fri. night before so I am thinking of flying out Fri. night and picking her up from school for a half day. We'll tell her that morning she has to go to the dentist or something and then come home and tell her. I want to give her a chance to say goodbye to our dogs I thought of having a bunch of Disney balloons and a huge sign saying "We're going to Disney" but I have 7 months to think about it

I liked being surprised but I'm glad they didn't wait to the last day. I like getting excited and planning but your idea is really cute. If she doesn't care about counting down then go for it. But it would Be hard to keep it a secret!

I don't want her to miss the stuff she liked. We were sitting in the living room the other day and out of nowhere she asked if we could go to Sci-Fi when we go back. Well, she didn't say Sci-Fi. "You know..that place...we ate in a car.... I was eating ice cream...you were eating ice cream... I sat with Daddy... you sat behind us...." I told her sure we could go back but she had to sit with me this time!

I don't really care about the color. No a fan of the yellow though. I figured you'd be all over the purple!

It is hard to get skinny when all the bad stuff taste so good. And it doesn't help when everyone around you eats pizza and chips all the time.

I wanted to wait until I hear the final news but I figure I'll update anyway.

We were booked at ASMO Feb. 25- March 1. Then, we were going to rent points at AKV for 2 more nights. Dh isn't able to take vacation during that time so we decided to switch. I was nervous about how the points rental would work so I contacted the renter last week and he said he will see what is available. Only problem is that Disney has been doing these updates. He said that they have been having issues with ressie #s being changed and that it would be best to wait until all the updates are through to change. He is going to try today to get through. Only problem is that I have changed the resort to BCV or BWI. Today is the 7month window for DVC members to book. I really wanted BCV but I have a feeling it won't be available since the 7 month window has hit. Darn Disney updates! I can't wait until the systems are up and he contacts me to tell me what he got. If BCV or BWV aren't available I asked to try for AKV.

I did call Disney two days ago and switched the first few days of our trip to Pop Century. Right now I have the preferred room booked. I keep thinking it will be easier to get to the food court and pool. Then again, I really want to stay in the 80's section since I was born in the 80's. I am 28, it's not like I have mobility issues, I'm just lazy I guess. I doubt we'll be using the food court that much were I can't make the walk. If I get put in the farthest room in the 80's how long will it take me to get to the main building/pool?

Fingers crossed for the DVC rental to go through.

Oh yeah. I am a little nervous about the whole renting points thing. Handing over money to a complete stranger that can just cancel your reservation at any point and keep your money. But I get a good feeling about the guy I am working with. I am however going to have a back up plan for the last few days.

Nope, just kidding. If I go to check in and they tell me my reservation doesn't exist I am sure there are plenty of places offsite that aren't too much money. Plus, we aren't going at a peak time so I'm sure we would find something. Not that I am concerned! Complete faith in the whole rental process.

As for the POP, we have not done preferred and never had trouble with distance. The first time we stayed in the 70's and it wasn't too far to walk and the second we stayed in the 80s and it seemed far but it really wasn't far at all, we found shortcuts too from the busses instead of going back through main building and stuff. It's so fun there, I'll miss it this time going, but we are just too big for them but not big enough or willing enough to pay for 2 rooms, if they would have offered free regular dining at the value we would have though in a heartbeat.

We liked 70's better, the walk wasn't too bad plus there's music while you walk which i think is unique to the other paths at the hotel. they should all play music! makes the walk more fun if we're singing we're renting points this year too for AKV but we did it for that site that's always advertised on here cuz we were a lil nervous about renting. i think it was 13 dollars per point. I would ask to be 70's or 60's at Pop, the 90's are waaaay far away from the lobby. Also, are we going at the exact same time?? crazy!

I think I am going to call and change it to standard. I remember thinking we would use the main pool and food court at POR much more than we actually did. We might use the food court once or twice and maybe the pool a few times.

Whenever I see pictures of POR I kind of wish I was going back there. DH loved it but wants to try something new(which actually surprised me). We stayed in the mansion section, maybe if I book POR and request AB he won't notice we've stayed there?

I wish free dining was available during our dates. It killed me to call and switch from our Feb. dates with free dining to May with no discount.

I was thinking of using that site, but somehow ended up finding the guy I am using now. He has been great so far so hopefully everything will turn out okay. I was hoping to hear from him yesterday since he was going to try to change our dates around, but I haven't talked to him yet. I did get a missed call while I was at work, but the number was unavailable. Hopefully, I'll find out soon. That's the one thing I don't like about not being in control. I would have called as soon as the system was up yesterday, but other people have lives and jobs too.

Are you going to eat at any of there TS restaurants? We tried Boma for breakfast last year but DD wants way too many character breakfast to squeeze that in this year.
Jiko used to sound good but with all of the new menu changes I'm think we'll skip it. Sanaa sounds really good but I'm nervous DH won't like anything. Boma for dinner maybe?

I can't wait until they release the May hours so I can plan my ADR's!

I just heard back from the renter. I have to say that I was very nervous about nothing being available since it is now less than 7 months. I was also having a hard time deciding where I wanted to stay the most. At first I gave BWV as my top choice, then BCV, followed by AKV. I gave the renter my preferences and then the whole Disney update happened and I thought maybe it was a sign that I really wanted BCV, so I changed that to my top preference. I figured whatever happened would be great. And so now the moment we've been waiting for....
(well, I 've been waiting for anyway)

I am so excited! I really love the look of the Boardwalk and can't wait to be close to it but I know DH and DD will love SAB. Plus, I know that DHS gets crazy for SWW so my plans are to just head over there each day for a few hours and once it becomes too much come back and chill out at the pool. BWV will have to wait. I do plan on walking over to the bakery though. I keep seeing pictures and everything looks so good.

Now, Disney just needs to release the May hours and I'll be good to go.

Anyway.... that's my news. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!

nice!! by far the best pool on property (besides water parks ) As to boma, we went there last year for dinner and didn't like it. i liked it the best out of the three of us and i only really liked the desserts and this peanut soup they had. even the kid options were blah i just remembered our dvc ppl we are renting from said we got the last room at AKV i should have mentioned that! but you'll love BC! we would have stayed there but it was cheaper at AKV so... we're also waiting for the hours! can't wait till we can actually plan out the days

I'm so happy we got BC. I decided that we aren't going to do the waterparks this trip so at least DH and DD will have some great pool time.

Boma dinner doesn't look that great to me. I do want to try the zebra domes though so I guess a trip to Mara is in order.

Which type of room are you staying in? I would think AKV would be one of the easier ones to get since in is so big. I do know that value was unavailable but I thought the savannah view was open for a studio. Maybe since it was only a few days?

We did SWW last May and DD was very upset that we weren't going to go back in May. Whenever I mention Disney she begs to go back in May so she can see Luke Skywalker. It just gets so busy! By the afternoon there was no room to move. We went over Memorial Day so maybe it will be a bit better but I doubt it. Star Wars fans are crazy people.

May can't get here soon enough!

AWWWWWWW First loose tooth!!! I remember those days!! My dad told Tyler that the tooth fairy brings you $5 for your first tooth, so of course pepa doesn't fib, so $5 he got!! Isn't it aweful how the time flies by so fast? I swear I just had Tyler last year, and he's almost a teenager!! no more baby there!! Enjoy every moment with your little ones. Time flies SOOOO fast, and it'll be over before you know it.
