IF free dining is announced for fall dates...

i have a pkg booked for the first week of oct with the DDP.
IF free dining is announced for my dates it will probably be in august right??
very near to my 45 day mark.

so my question is IF free dining comes out for my dates and i want to drop my paid ddp and do free dining instead will i have to cancel my exisiting reservation and book a new one? (meaning a new deposit + waiting for payments to be refunded to my visa before i can pay for the new package)

or will i be able to "make a change" to my exisiting reservation...basically they would judt have to refund the price of the DDP right?

My TA was able just to change our existing reservation to free dining. We were already booked at POFQ with the QS dining plan - she just modified the reservation to add the free DDP to it.

We did something similar last year. We originally booked on the website for the 30% off deal, then free dining was annouced. We called in and the cast memeber was very helpful in finding the best way to save us the most money on our reservation. She ran a few different scenarios and saved us a couple hundred dollars.

IF Free dining does get extending into October, would it typically be annouced in August or May when the current offer says it will expire, though im sure they will extend it. thanks!

Your reservation can just be modified to reflect free dining, if free dining is available at the resort you are currently booked at. You may have to be flexible and change your resort, so I would have a second resort choice in mind if changing resorts is an option for you. Also, if you are less than 45 days from arrival, you can still modify your current ressie, but you will be charged a $50 change fee as your package price would decrease.
