I'm one of those people who think this is just the internet version of high school type cliques. Oooh! How many friends can I attract to my page so I'll feel a sense of importance and significance. I so do not have a membership, page, or visit anyone else's pages.

I was just thinking that I spend way too much time on that site and it might not really bother me if it shut down. I wish I could stop myself from going there, but I do like it.

I have made very good friends with Dissers and as its too expensive to call over seas I keep up with them on FB.

I would be upset. A PP said something about it being cliquish...I dunno, maybe to high schoolers, but for me, I am 30. I don't care how many friends I have or how many friends anyone else has. I use it as a way to keep up with friends and family and it really has made communicating with everyone so much easier. Not mention being able to share photos easily.

I also don't care about my number of friends, per se. I have about 210 of them, BUT I don't even know about 190 of them at all. They are only "friends" so that I have more people to help me out with playing Mafia Wars and Cafe World.

Though, I have actually become more friendly on Facebook with some DISers than I actually was / am on the DIS.

I'd be upset. I'm not a phone person so it's a great way for me to keep in touch with my friends and reconnect with old friends from high school. I don't have friends just for the purpose of having friends on there. These are friends and family or folks from message boards that I've formed close friendships with over the years...it's my biggest way of keeping in touch with people, so I'd be lost without it, in relation to keeping up with folks.
