:woohoo: Warm weather is finally here and I'm thinking about ice cream! :lmao: What is your favorite brand that can be bought in the store and what is the best price for it. Gotta save money for gasoline somehow, but I'm not giving up my ice cream!:rolleyes1

Every 4-5 weeks here I see Turkey Hill & Edy's on sale for half price (about $3). I really like Turkey Hill.

And I like Giant ice cream - also about $3 when they run their half price deals.

Mayfield Moose Tracks. It's the only one I will pay full price for (5.59 for a container smaller than a half gallon!), but sometimes Harris Teeter has it buy one get one free and we stock up! :woohoo:

I am originially from Houston and I now live in Chicago.... I can't tell you how much I miss Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream! It is the first thing I buy anytime I come home or go to Disney World!..... Awww, now I miss it more....:rotfl:

I usually have ice cream at home. Sometimes have a cone and sometimes a bowl. I or we enjo Edy's Half The Fat Coffee. Mmmm, Mmmm, good. I have a cone almost every night.

I love Mooney's or Strohs (who'd have thought a beer company could make great ice cream!). I can usually get it on sale for $3 for a half gallon.

Edy's Slow Churned Chocolate! mmmmm Though the complete full fat version chocolate is my hands down fav. :lovestruc

I don't think there's an ice cream I don't like, lol. But here are a few favorites:

Breyer's Natural Vanilla with Hershey's Shell topping, or on top of a warm chocolate chip cookie(my favorite dessert hands down)

Edy's American Idol one that is a mint oreo cookie

Breyer's Oreo Cookie

Ben & Jerry's Americone Dream

Ben & Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar

Dairy Queen's Waffle turtle bowl sundae

Sonic JavaChillers

My response to this thread has just proven to me that I have an ice cream "problem"

Tillamook Chocolate Peanut Butter. :) Pretty spendy at regular price, but it goes on sale for $2.50 or $3 sometimes.

I love love love Turkey Hill ice cream especially the chocolate and peanut butter and usually you can catch it at a good price at Kroger. However lately all my icecream has been weight watchers brand, it's not cheap but it is really good and much lower in fat and calories.

I also only like coldstones peanut butter perfection but with vanilla instead of chocolate. I think it is 11.49 for the biggest container. Not cheap by any means. I don't like chocolate and peanut butter ice cream which is what most ice creams with peanut butter come with. Haggen Daz used to make an ice cream call peanut butter swirl but I havent seen it in over 10 years.

Ice cream is so expensive..
Publix has it on sale at least once a month
Breyers last week it was 3 half gallons for 10.00
normally it is 5.59 a half gallon
Publix brand is very good too

My ALL TIME FAVORITE is Edy's peppermint ice cream it is served only 3 months a year at Magic Kingdom.
being diabetic i can only have a couple spoonfuls !! but it is so yummy :cloud9:

Breyers - Vanilla and Strawberry/Vanilla/Chocolate
Edy's is good too.

I usually get the Edy's when it's onsale for either BOGO or 2/$600. The Breyers is either $2.70 or $3.70 (I can't remember!!) at my Super Walmart normally. The Pubix will put it at 2/$5.00. I don't really stock up because it's always on sale.

Mayfield is my favorite brand (cherry is favorite flavor). Even the paper cartons of it are expensive (~4.29).

I also like Publix brand and its cheaper at around $2.50.

Funny you should ask. I just had this discussion wioth DH last night as we were eating a bowl of Breyers.

Turkey Hill is so much better than Breyers. We both agreed. But the sale was better on Breyers. I think we will use theirs for only milkshakes in the future

You guys are really making me glad I don't keep ice cream in the house :) (Although I do love it) Braums is my favorite brand (I think around $4 - but they do still have true half gallons) followed by Blue Bell's Homemade Vanilla. (on sale usually $3.50) I do buy it on occasion but my DD eats it almost every day at Nanny & Poppys and she don't need it any more than that and I can stand to not have any....so instead you will find Blue Bell sugar free popsicles in my freezer.
