Or anyone that has to figure out the cause of an action.
My youngest DS(8) in third grade, was bombing his spelling tests. I am telling you, failing. I would work with him all week, and he would fail. Dh and I talk to his teacher during parent conference in October. I came up with a plan to give him an incentive. I would pay him for a grade over an 80%. Dh came up with a plan to have him start typing out is spelling words on Word. He would have to look for the letters on the keyboard.
Guess what I did? I started BOTh in the same week. He has been bring home 100%+ ever since! Now, I can't figure out if it is the keyboard helping him, or if he could do it all along, and now he has some money in his pocket.
I never thought I would be someone who paid for grades, but he is so proud when he brings home his spelling tests,a nd the hand goes out. LOL
His teacher is just thrilled at his improvement. I just wished I had separated the two, so I could tell which one was causing the improvement.
