I am so excited but I haven't converted the Pounds to dollars yet. Funny I won even though I never bothered to enter. I actually win every month! I am just going to let my winnings add up before I collect.:cool1:

Oh and my luck continues because there is a king from some obscure country who needs me to hold his gazillion dollars in my account due to poltical termoil. :yay:

On top of that there are 3, count them 3, seperate princesses (from completely different obscure countries) who also need to transfer funds in and out of my account. :dance3:

The U.N. must have given out my email as some sort of garage for excess money. :teacher:

I am rolling in the dough now. I am so going to tell my boss where he can go because now I don't have to work. :woohoo:

when you collect all these winnings, please do share with all your DisBoard friends, I can let you have my mailing address if you want, hahaha:laughing:

It certainly was thoughtful of those people in the UK to enter your name in the lottery. :rotfl2: I haven't won that one yet, but I do have many friends in Nigeria who desperately need my help - and my bank account number!

Darn you, I wanted to win. I forwarded the email Bill Gates sent me to 100 people and I believe the prize was a lottery ticket.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm, sorry, but I actually won the UK lottery. I have the email to prove it. Sorry for the confusion, maybe next time you will be as lucky as me :rotfl2: !

I win that lottery all the time, along with all sorts of fun things. Lately it's been these rich widows that just *can't* seem to get to their money without help & had divine intervention that made them pick MY e-mail.

Although, I really *did* win $1,000 from those survey's you can enter at the bottom of your receipt, etc... They called me though first, THEN sent e-mail with the official paperwork after they verified nobody worked for them & I was eligible. However, I'm sure the person on the phone probably thought I had the most boring reaction to winning money. I was SO not convinced that I had really won until I got the check -- I'm so used to all these scams...even though this one did require a W-9? form since it was over $600 and a notorized papers back, etc... Never wanted my bank account # though. My attitude was more or less, "I'll believe it when I see it"...

If you enjoy this kind of stuff, you really should check out http://www.419eater.com, where the scam baiters hang out. :)

:rotfl:

I love that site!! I do quality assurance for a relay call center, so I monitor a lot of the phone calls we do. The service is intended for deaf/hard of hearing folks, but some scammers in Nigeria will use it to call people. I am AMAZED at some of the stories the scammers come up with.. and also the stupidity of the people who buy these stories and send the scammers money.

Wow! Congrats to all the winners!! :cheer2:

I'll have to go check my emails now and see how much money I've won. Maybe we could pool our monies and buy WDW and turn it into an exclusive resort. Eligibility based on your having won big in the foreign lotteries. :lmao:

People who fall prey to these email messages just go to show how dumb people are. I know this is all tongue-in-cheek, but people DO fall for these scams every single day. If the email messages didn't work, scammers wouldn't send them.

Sad, but oh so true.

Hey are you saying all these riches aren't real? But I already book 14 weeks at the Grand Floridian...
They are expecting you. They have your room in the second sub-basement of the Main Building. But you will have to share your room with alligators and other water-based reptiles. :stir: :stir: :duck:

LOL! I got those e-mails too. The prince of Nigeria wants my account too.

Hey! That Nigerian prince is legit. I just found out I am related to him. :snooty: That makes me a DIS princess. princess:

Now, I don't have to win anything. I just have to wait for him to die off so I can send my bank account number for my portion of my inheritance. :woohoo:
