I wish I was 8 again!

This is a great thread. I am a 31 year old guy traveling solo to WDW for 9 nights in Febuary and will have no problem being 8 years old again, becausse that is what makes WDW special. It has the magic that allows you to forget everything and act 8 again. This is going to be a very special trip because it's my first time staying onsite. I have character meals planned, and the first thing I'm going to buy is mouse ears. I have always wanted a set of them. The people at work think I am crazy for going to a "family vacation spot" solo. I tell them the that WDW is magical regardless if you are going solo, with a family or with 50 people.

As Michelle Tanner on Full House would say, "You got it, dude!" (I need a smiley with two thumbs up to go with that...LOL!)

I'm so glad you decided to go ahead with your plans for February. I wish you the most magical trip to Disney you've ever had. Be sure to do a trip report when you get back & include a photo of you wearing your embroidered mouse ears!

As a mother of an 8 year old daughter, I thought I'd chime in.

As far as she's concerned, the princesses are very "yesterday". She is very much at the "tween" stage - all ready to have her pink room painted lime green , and we've put away the princess bedding and replaced it with Lizzie McGuire. The stack of t-shirts depicting Cinderella, Belle, etc. have also been relegated to the "never going to wear again" pile.

Be warned that this is a fast transformation! As recently as October of 2002, she was very into all the princesses. They say kids seem to grow up before your eyes, and I guess they do!
