I Will NEVER Eat At _______ In WDW Again!!

California Grill. Did it for the first time and was wholly unimpressed, except for the view. We also were big fans of The Wave, but the last couple times have been disappointing. And I've heard to stay away from The Brown Derby.

1. House of Blues - I got food poisoning there.

2. Yachtman's Steakhouse - First time was great, 2nd time quality was way down.

3. Kouzzina - Here is a review I wrote on TripAdvisor that will tell you why:

I wish I could tell you what the food is like at this restaurant, but I never got to order! Our experience started out pleasantly. We were greeted promptly and our reservation time was honored, which is not common for most Disney World area restaurants. The hostess was very nice. She addressed us by name and escorted us to our table. She said someone would be right with us. That is the last member of the restaurant staff I saw for quite some time. I noticed that the restaurant was only half full, however it was very loud and the staff was running around as if they were in a race. Someone raced by our table and said without stopping that she would be right with us. Again, nothing. Not even a glass of water. It made me feel like if I was at Denny's. At this point I said to myself, "If a member of the staff does not come to our table in the next two minutes we are out of here". No one came. I realized then what kind of a night it was going to be if we stayed. This restaurant is touted as one of the better restaurants in Lake Buena Vista, if not the entire Disney World property. Perhaps we caught it on a bad night, but I expected so much more from a restaurant where I planned to spend a couple of hundred dollars. The chef maybe iron, but the service was more like wet cardboard! Needless to say, I won't be going back.

BOG (yes, that right I said it)

We had dinner there and it was a disaster. Our server was beyond confused and another sever who brought the drinks over spilled a whole glass of wine on my 7yr old son. (wine was not even for our table) he was covered in wine, she handed he a few napkins and said she would be right back with more and another drink for him since wine was in his now.... We never saw her again. I was stunned. on a side note my lamb chops arrived cold and my husbands dinner showed up way after everyone else at the table was served. The fancy light up dessert cart did not light up and the server says "well you can see everything right" It really was one thing after another. I was also very surprised to see the amount of $ exchanging hands at check in so people can sit in the main dining room. I'm mean I get it but I really thought that was a big no-no at WDW.

Also LeCellier now called LeSaltier here in our house. What the hell happened to that place. No more muscles on the menu and the mushroom filet was a salty mess. They have some set making that a 2 credit meal. I remember when I used to be able walk in there when the food was good... :(

OK Rant over! :) Happy New Year!

oh the Kouzzina review scares me! we booked it for arrival night as we are staying right at BW in April.

On the bright side, there are many reviews that say the food is very good. I made my decision based on my own experience and I hope it is an isolated, or seldom recurring incident. Nevertheless, it happened as I wrote it and they lost me for good.

Have gone to BOG twice and wasn't impressed either time. I should have included it on my original list. And the lighting stinks.

We've eaten at Kouzzina many times without a problem. Sounds like a night where they were severely understaffed.

for me, I include Marrakesh, Rose and Crown, Tutto Italia... (small portions, large price, inattentive service), Planet Hollywood, T-Rex, Rainforest Cafe, Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, La Hacienda de San Angel... (and this used to be a favorite when they first opened... now everything is loaded with hot spices), House of Blues, Bongos Cuban Cafe, Yak and Yeti, Whispering Canyon for dinner, Hollywood and Vine for the character meals, Boatwrights for dinner and Spirit of Aloha dinner show.

our absolute worst:
1900 PF dinner. Imagine a family of 4, all of with different tastes, walking up to a buffet and all of us hating every selection. it was wayyyyy bad .

chef mickey's. did it once, will never go back for cold breakfast and horribly backlogged characters. not worth it. we can easily see Mickey at a ton of other places.

crystal palace. every year , I just see the crowds outside and wonder  . we ate our entire meal BEFORE anyone came to see us. we left before the rotation was even over.

we've had the chance a large variety of signature meals as well. but, I can honestly say that my favorites are LTT lunch and the tuna sandwich at columbia harbour house. I'm a cheap date, I guess. we do enjoy ohana each time, california grill.

Amazingly enough, we have NEVER had a bad counter service meal. We have however had some pretty terrible table service meals...

CRYSTAL PALACE- The food was awful, we saw our server like once, we waited an hour past our reservation time, and The character rotation was S L O W.

1900 PARK FARE- The food here was pretty OK. There was actually a really fantastic fish dish that we all loved, but the service and characters were enough to stop us from ever going back. We finished our meal down to the dessert without ever seeing one character. We were shoved in a corner table near the door, and I think we were forgotten. Our server was efficient, but never once cracked a smile. When I questioned the characters she was downright rude and told me that they had a rotation, and that "they would get there when they got there." We ended up speaking to a manager who had them sent over, and the characters weren't anything special. we are friendly and fun people, and I had heard the character interaction was really good here. They literally signed our books, snapped a pic, and took off. Not impressed.

We won't go back to Bomas. We loved the first time but the second, the selection and variety was much lower.
We also won't go back to the Liberty Tree Tavern in MK. We ate the turkey buffet and it was awful; just processed food.

We won't ever waste another credit on Katsura Grill again. We gave it a try last trip and it was horrible---tasteless. With so many other great options in world showcase we were sad to lose the CS credit.

Ugh! This is going back 3 or 4 years but the Cinderella Castle dinner has to be one of the worst experiences ever. I was so excited to have landed a reservation for dinner there and our twin girls were super excited! That's where the fun ended. Arrive for our reservation and there was a mob waiting to check in (this was expected and not a big deal). The woman in charge was an extremely butchy drill sergeant, complete with a silver crew cut. She yelled and barked at people to stay in line the whole time. It felt like what it must be like in a prison mess hall. We waited in formation to first get a picture with Cinderella prior to dinner. It was crowded but our drill sergeant made sure everyone faced forward and didn't step a toe over the red line. A funny scene: a bathroom door kicked open and a woman screamed for her husband to come help her. The poor man stepped out of line and the drill sergeant barked at him to get back. He got back into line and meekly yelled to her 'they won't let me' (the man in front of us turned around and mouthed 'Priceless" and we all giggled--then of course resumed facing forward). Cinderella was wonderful with our girls, who were by then terrified with all of the barking and now hiding their faces. and burrowing into us. She was very patient even after we told her not to worry about the pic. We were then led upstairs to our table. The room does take your breath away! It's really beautiful. However, the food was really just not good. They can get away with a certain level of food because it is after all, The Castle. But come on! We barely were able to eat any of it. The salad seemed old and blah. The entrees were just not good (I forget what we had but remember we ended up grabbing some quick service fries right after the meal). The man at the next table stuck a fork in his dessert and the whole thing (whip cream included) came up in one piece with the fork. You just know they had trays and trays of those made months ago in some walk in freezer. He waved it around on the fork to show his wife, which was kind of funny. Hopefully things have changed since our experience! Like I said this was 3 or 4 years ago but enough to make us never EVER want to go back.

Your review cracks me up and scares me all at the same time (we have a resv for lunch in April). I sure hope things have changed :scared1:

Marrakesh. It was many years ago, like an entire decade, but I'll never go back. I found the atmosphere to be rather boring. There were no belly dancers or music so I was surprised to read later that that's part of their thing. We went there for the food, and I don't remember it being very remarkable. Not bad, just kind of bland. Also, the staff had some issues. Not the friendliest that day. I seriously think the fact that we had a wheelchair in our party was annoying to them (they had to move a table, ). Weird vibes. The service was nothing great, think Denny's at 2 am. I left feeling a little duped (for lack of a better word). Rather expensive food and a not so great experience. Of course this was a looong time ago so who knows, maybe it's gotten better. I don't feel like spending the $$ to find out.

I honestly cannot think of a bad table service meal we've had (and I've eaten at some of the top "worst" places on this list). Mediocre and not worth the price, maybe. But not terrible.

Now, counter service is another story. Cosmic Ray's--bleh. I can't even remember what I got but it was gross. Electric Umbrella was pretty bad, too. La Cantina de San Angel--stale chips, plastic cheese, yuck.

Luckily, I've never gotten food poisoning!

Hacienda de San Angel counter service. Food poisoning. So sick. Soooooo sick. Thank goodness we had a washer/dryer in the room.
