I Will NEVER Eat At _______ In WDW Again!!

Hacienda de San Angel counter service. Food poisoning. So sick. Soooooo sick. Thank goodness we had a washer/dryer in the room.
i feel i was food poisoned there too...complained about the food and i was so sick that night and the next day i had bad cramping all day..i never will return there again
:scared:

It may have been an off night, but Yachtsman is my "never again". The bread, especially the onion rolls, were AMAZING. And when you spend roughly $100 per person at a steakhouse and the most positive thing I can say is "the bread was really good" that's a problem. There's better steak to be had at WDW.

Couldn't agree more, except there's better steak to be had at a Texas Roadhouse, and for 1/3 the price.

For me, its Ohana. So many factors go into this. First is that this was the one I was most excited for, so I suppose I felt let down. The whole night was awful! First up we waited over 45 minutes to be seated with our ADR that was made 180 days prior. Did what we could do to entertain ourselves and kids, drinks for us and 85 bucks down the drain in the gift shop for them. We were finally seated and then it continued to be a disappointment! Our server made fun of having to greet us by "cousin", she was a big eye roller and not around very much at all. My kids were asleep at the table by the time our food came. They missed wishes and the water parade, the coconut races, everything. Had we been seated on time, this would not have happened. Service was incredibly slow and then all the sudden we were slammed with apps and dinner at the same time. My husband was dying. I was trying to make the best of it, but honestly it was not easy. FINALLY got out of there and there was one bus left for everyone needing to go back everywhere. ONE. We barely made it on with our sleeping 4 and 6 year olds. I can only imagine if we missed it or there was not enough space. I'm sure we would have been forced to take a cab and add another 50 bucks to an already expensive, disappointing night. No second chances from us, no way. Not ever.

Even if you don't count this actual thread, these results seem pretty much what I see from reading the restaurant review boards over the past several years. There are consistently complaints about those places. I'm surprised about 50s PT though since people seem to love their food. (I didn't)

First time I have read this thread. I am thinking how sad and disappointing that it even exists! We should be able to expect a decent dining experience. I never go out anywhere with the expectation that it will be awful food and service and take 3 hours to get through the ordeal. It should be the same here, and at all levels of dining.

Hollywood and Vine. I am not a huge buffet person but I always chose it because of the Fantastmic package. I dont want to use two table service credits for Brown Derby so it's Mama Melrose this time. I just found the buffet rather bland for what you are paying.

By far the worst is Chef Mickey's. Went twice, and it was awful and disgusting both times.

I really don't get all the love for Boma on these boards. It was better for breakfast, but the dinner was mediocre at best. I don't see how anyone could think Boma is really good food.

Other disappointments for mediocre food

Chef de France
Tutto Italia
Brown Derby
Coral Reef
Teppen Edo
Ohana - WAY OVERRATED

Wow...Kozzunia's is always on our ( DH & I ) list and we go every year....even when all 12 of our family goes to the World we all have to have Fisherman's Stew there....
yes i will say it is a noisey place...
As for BOG...ate their last year....my hubby said his pork chop was over cooked...my food was fine....the dining room is breathtaking...

Akershus - We did it for breakfast for my daughter on her Birthday, she enjoyed the princesses, but the food was meh....the only other advantage was walking on to Mission Space and the 15 minute wait at Soarin after....I could be wrong, but it seems to be the most expensive of the character Buffets.

Agreed...character interaction is great for my daughters, but food is not that great. I will only go back if forced to by the wife and daughters...

Our 5 worst experiences are:

Pecos Bill (gross)
Tortuga Tavern (gross)
Casey's Corner (the boiled hotdogs at our high school ball games are better than here)
Whispering Canyon (food stunk but we had a good time out of waitress)
Mama Melrose (the worst food I have EVER had at a TS in my life)

We don't like any of the food offerings in MK - neither TS or CS. And I've never had decent pizza in any of the parks or in a resort except at Via Napoli and it isn't the best. How hard is it to make an edible pizza?

I've been seeing this about Boma alot lately- it's making us kind of want to book Tusker House for breakfast instead.

Crystal Palace for lunch or dinner. I'm willing to try breakfast though.

Agreed. No Crystal Palace for lunch or dinner (food cold & mediocre), but breakfast is good & character interaction is very good. Our favorite character meal is breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. Different rooms make it seem not so crowded, and at least 4-5 characters come around to each table for lots of photos. Food seems better too (hotter/fresher).

My top no thanks restaurant: Tony's Town Square ( long wait, food just not good), although none of my dining experiences have been stellar. Food is very expensive and not "wow." I did like Via Napoli for pizza/Italian and i enjoy the 50's Prime Time Cafe.

Ugh! This is going back 3 or 4 years but the Cinderella Castle dinner has to be one of the worst experiences ever. I was so excited to have landed a reservation for dinner there and our twin girls were super excited! That's where the fun ended. Arrive for our reservation and there was a mob waiting to check in (this was expected and not a big deal). The woman in charge was an extremely butchy drill sergeant, complete with a silver crew cut. She yelled and barked at people to stay in line the whole time. It felt like what it must be like in a prison mess hall. We waited in formation to first get a picture with Cinderella prior to dinner. It was crowded but our drill sergeant made sure everyone faced forward and didn't step a toe over the red line. A funny scene: a bathroom door kicked open and a woman screamed for her husband to come help her. The poor man stepped out of line and the drill sergeant barked at him to get back. He got back into line and meekly yelled to her 'they won't let me' (the man in front of us turned around and mouthed 'Priceless" and we all giggled--then of course resumed facing forward). Cinderella was wonderful with our girls, who were by then terrified with all of the barking and now hiding their faces. and burrowing into us. She was very patient even after we told her not to worry about the pic. We were then led upstairs to our table. The room does take your breath away! It's really beautiful. However, the food was really just not good. They can get away with a certain level of food because it is after all, The Castle. But come on! We barely were able to eat any of it. The salad seemed old and blah. The entrees were just not good (I forget what we had but remember we ended up grabbing some quick service fries right after the meal). The man at the next table stuck a fork in his dessert and the whole thing (whip cream included) came up in one piece with the fork. You just know they had trays and trays of those made months ago in some walk in freezer. He waved it around on the fork to show his wife, which was kind of funny. Hopefully things have changed since our experience! Like I said this was 3 or 4 years ago but enough to make us never EVER want to go back.

Thanks for the laughs! That guy with the dessert on his fork is lucky the drill sergeant didn't see him!:p

Crystal Palace: My kids just wanted to get the heck out of there and go on the rides
Downtown Disney (sit-down) spent $100 - 2 adults + 2 little kids and left hungry
Chef Mickey: Never, never again!

My preference: QSFB outside on a warm day in Florida during the winter months.

Which restaurant in Downtown Disney?

We were there in 2011, and I loved LTT so much that I convinced my family to go back. I ordered the pot roast both times, which really means something, because I rarely order the same thing twice! To the people who did not like LTT, did you have the pot roast? Just curious. :)

I couldn't agree more about all the Chef Mickey's comments. Glad it wasn't just us! It had so much hype, and our experience wasn't very good. I think we'll try Tusker House when we're there this summer for our character meal.
