Hey there... I want to name my baby Disney... YES I said Disney... What do you think?
I know im going to be getting a lot of BS on here for posting this question but im curious. I mean if people can name their child Apple, Princess and Hennessy why cant I name my baby Disney?
Any time I see the name Disney anywhere i get butterflies. A rush of happy endorphins take over my body  I still havent ruled out any Disney character names but the name Disney just makes me happy.
If i were to purchase any Disney sippee cups ,clothing from a Disney store, games made by Disney his or her name will be on it. I know when I was younger i loved having clothes with my name on it.

I wonder if this will cause my child to file for a name change though... will my child be able to be a Lawyer, Attorney Disney Doe, or Judge Disney Doe, or Doctor Disney Doe...hmm I have alot to think about...

oh btw DH is onboard with the name too are we made for each other or what!!!! Give us some ideas on names that you think represent having love for Disney we'd appreciate them... whether you agree with us or you disagree or just trying to be plain rude for attention we'd love your opinions

It's copyrighted. Wonder if that matters. If you're serious, whatever floats your boat.

Well this isn't BS, but you can name your kid what you want, but don't get mad when your kid comes home getting teased about it, just sayin....

There is a kid in DD13's school that is named Mi Amor. When they were little all the kids pronounced it memore. Now that she is older she and her mom have a fit that some kids still say memore-well don't name your kid something crazy, lol.

I think it'd be better than, say, "Princess." I do a lady's hair whose maiden name is Disney so I guess if she wanted to use it like many people do, she'd have a kid named Disney.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. When you're thinking of those cutesy names that mean so much to you, remember that your kid has to grow up with it.

Put the words Supreme Court Justice before it and see how it works. Not so good, huh?

You need to spell it properly - Dyznie. :rotfl:

And be prepared for "Dizty Dyznie" from his/her classmates.

My first thought was: Do you really hate your child? Why would you do that to someone that you claim to love? That poor child! And no, I don't think they would ever be taken seriously. And they would be made fun of all through life.

And whats your name? Mary , Becky, Sarah, something normal I assume? It seems people who name their kids unusual names have "normal" names and never had to deal with all the crap that goes with that kind of name.

I have an unusual name and can't stand it. My mom really thought when I turned 18 I would legally change it. I didn't but I made sure my kids had "normal"names.

Sorry,, you asked.

Well, I don't think Disney is any worse than Rumor, Apple, Hazel or lots of other things celebs call their kids. I like it better than Neveah ( I hate that name). But I don't care for Disney Campbell (if that's to be the last name).

Just because other people do stupid things and strap their poor children with bad names doesn't mean that anyone else should.

I guess I'm the only one... I think it's adorable (for a girl only). Girls can get away w/ unusual names more than boys. And it's easy to pronounce.

Another thought... you could give your child the middle name Disney (again, only for a girl).

I am not making this up...there is a girl named Disney at my DD's school. It wasn't too bad when she was an elementary student, but she's graduating this year. I feel sorry for her, really. I don't know how she feels about it though.
Good Luck what ever you decide.

No worries... I expected for some adults to be rude, obnoxious Cruella Devilles (ah another name on the list:thumbsup2)and some of them to be supportive, but none the less I posted the question on here and I am getting feed back.
Thanks for being nice about it though...I respect your opinion and yes moms did give me a " Regular and common" name...

Say if you name the kid Disney, how would you feel(i.e.Disappointed,etc) if the kid got to a certain age in school and wanted to go by another name?

We've been thinking about Walter as a possibility for our next boy, if we have one. But that's a normal name.

I'm guessing you're being silly, and I get that. But some poor idiot is going to read this post and think its a cracking good name. People will go to any lengths for attention, even humiliating their kids for life with a ridiculous name.
