"I Want To Go Back!!!"....a Sept 2010 PTR(upd 10/12-TR Started!)

Glad you had a fun weekend :goodvibes:

We were out boating all weekend and it was soo nice on the water! Only bad part was the water is still too cold to go in. Brady and Dh sat on the swim platform and got pretty wet though!

Is your recital this weekend?

Sorry for the loss in your family.

Great haircut! But your hair looks good long or short - you have such beautiful curls! Highlights are always fun for summer.

Congrats on the 2nd place medal for Madison - way to go!

Yes, definitely try Flametree- we've been there two or three times and its always been really good. And I'm picky about BBQ!:thumbsup2

The Dinosaur picture has to be the best in all of Walt Disney World. I love when I go with people who have never been and seeing the reaction shots. I'm going to have a lot of those this year! :rotfl2: I can't wait!

Good luck with your dress rehersal today!!!

Your Animal Kingdom plans look great!!! I finally took the time and got all the character pictures last time I was there! I love DINOSAUR!!!! Great ride and I really really enjoy it!!!!!!

I saw those pics on Facebook! Brady is so cute in his lifevest. :goodvibes

Our recital is this weekend...Friday night and Sunday afternoon.

Thanks.

Aw, thanks! My hair always gets even curlier when I get it cut short like this. I plan on keeping it like this for awhile. I love getting highlights in the summer!

Madison did so great at the class feis. The Buffalo Feis is THIS Saturday, so she'll be practicing a lot this week!

I'm picky about bbq too, so I'm glad to hear that you liked Flametree.

I love the Dinosaur picture!! People look SO scared!! The first time I rode it, there was a row of Brazilian students in front of me. They screamed through the whole ride and I had to hold back my laughter. For some reason, I think it's so funny when people are really scared!

Good luck with your dress rehersal today!!!

Your Animal Kingdom plans look great!!! I finally took the time and got all the character pictures last time I was there! I love DINOSAUR!!!! Great ride and I really really enjoy it!!!!!!

Thanks! Even though it's a long day, I really love it.

Oh yeah! I'd like to hit up the character trails at Camp Minnie/Mickey!!! For some reason, Madison never wants to go over there. Well, I want my picture taken with all of the characters in their safari clothes.

Your AK plans sound great and I can already picture you two in your coordinating leopard print tanks! :goodvibes

By the way, if you are hitting up AK evening EMH, you may be in luck. When we went, I literally WALKED on to EE! :thumbsup2 We missed out on the safari and some other things that evening since they closed at dusk or something, but if you are also going another morning, that will be perfect. I feel like people rarely hit up PM EMH at this park. Glad you plan on taking advantage of it!

Sounds like you'll be hitting the highlights at AK. I hope Madison makes it on EE. DH loves AK! I have trouble dragging him out when we only plan on a half day.

The AK list looks good! I really hope you made it to the trails. They really are neat and we are so glad to got to them in March!

Evening EMH's at AK are great! We did EE about 3 or 4 times in a row! Also, FOTLK is sometimes showing during evening EMH's, so there is less of a crowd waiting to get in, plus the wait isn't as bad because the sun isn't out on you.

Good luck with the recital and everything! I'm sure everything will go smoothly!
We like Flame Tree-- although not the beans, yuck. (I don't like beans anywhere, not just there, though, so don't take my word on it, haha) It sounds like Madison wants to try a lot of new things this trip-- think she'll try Splash again, or did that one ride ruin it for her??

:lmao: I did the exact same thing to my DD on Dinosaur!! I was a lot more scared than she was! I love all of your AK must-dos! EE is a favorite of ours!Good luck with the dress rehersal!!

I hope dress rehearsal went well today for you and the dancers. When is the show? The AK list looks like what I am thinking, with the addition of Boneyard as DD will need somewhere to stretch her legs while the others go on EE. I have not seen either show, so I am looking forward to catching them both if possible. I am leaning towards FOTLK as being the one we try first than try to make Nemo if time allows.

Thanks! I really love my leopard tank, but now I don't know if I'm going to wear it to AK. It just doesn't look right with any of my shorts. It looks great with jeans though!

That sounds awesome!! I've actually never had to wait more than 5 minutes to ride EE due to the single rider line. :goodvibes I'm so spoiled!

Yup, just the highlights. Madison isn't tall enough for Primevil Whirl and Triceratop Spin really isn't anything special. I hope Madison decides to ride EE too!

Thanks! We really enjoyed the trails in Jan 09 so I hope we get to enjoy them again.

I'd love to ride EE over and over again. It's one of my favorites. I'd love it if we could see FOTLK our first night!

Good luck with the recital and everything! I'm sure everything will go smoothly!

Thank you!

I'm assuming you mean baked beans??? I can't stand baked beans, but I enjoy green beans! :goodvibes I don't think Maddie will do Splash for a long time. She was pretty traumatized by that one!

:lmao: I did the exact same thing to my DD on Dinosaur!! I was a lot more scared than she was! I love all of your AK must-dos! EE is a favorite of ours!Good luck with the dress rehersal!!

I wasn't scared on Dinosaur, but I wasn't sure how Madison would deal with the big dino. She was so mad at me for covering her eyes!!! EE is great, isn't it?! Thanks....it went fairly smoothly.

Dress rehersal was fine. One of my girls decided to go to the Dave Matthews Band concert last night instead of dress rehersal (I found that out last week), so I'm still pretty mad about that. Dress rehersal is the most important night. We do all of our spacing, lighting, etc. She better not get lost while she's dancing onstage! The shows are tomorrow at 6pm and Sunday at 1pm.

We've never visited the Boneyard, but I'm sure your DD will love it. In Jan 09, we did the first FOTLK show of the day and then we managed to hit the 1:30 (or something like that) Nemo show.

Great Animal Kingdom list, I feel the same between festival of the Lion King and Nemo but i'm being unfair because haven't seen nemo yet so better give it a chance!

hope Madison goes on Expedition Everest and you get to enjoy it as a family, such a great rollercoaster!

ooooh, skipping the dress rehearsal for a concert, very cheeky! i started a new dance class last night, we are teaching 6 men to dance kind of of like a dancing with the stars format (apart from no stars just irish dancers:rotfl2:), they've never danced before, was so funny, is raising money for charity too, a lot of work before the show in August though!

Thanks....I just like the feeling of FOTLK a little bit more. Nemo is really great, but we sat way in the back on very uncomfortable benches.

I hope so too! I think she'd like it, but then again....I really don't know.

Two other girls, who are not in my classes, left early to go to the same concert! They told fellow classmates to tell the teachers they went home sick. Yeah right! I just don't understand it.

That sounds very challenging!!! I don't have a lot of patience (that's why I don't teach the little kids) and I could see myself getting very aggravated. I hope that the show goes well for you!

Wow! Your recital seems to make more sense than ours! We have 2 recitals--one at 1 pm and one at 6 pm. Thankfully Ally & Claire are both in the 6 pm one or we'd really have a LONG day! But they put everyone in a dance in the first act and one in the 2nd act so you end up being there all night it seems. It's hard for the little ones. But again--very thankful both girls are in the same recital!!

Great AK plans!! FOTLK is my favorite, too! Brent's is Nemo--so we always end up seeing both. EE and Dinosaur=awesome!!

I danced at a different studio than the one I teach at and the recitals were crazy. We had three shows-one Friday night, Sat afternoon and Sat night. The advanced girls and special numbers were in every show. When my sister and I were both dancing, my parents had to go to all 3 shows! We each had different dances in each show. Nuts!

At my studio, not everyone dances in each act but everyone has to stay for the whole show. It is only 2 hours long...including intermission! Our studio director always has a hard time putting together the recital line-up. Some girls take a lot of classes and she has to make sure they have enough time to change. Sometimes, they will only have 2 classes inbetween their dances!!!

FOTLK gave me goosebumps. They really make everyone feel like they are a part of the show. Nemo was great too. Those people are SO talented! EE and Dinosaur are definately great. :thumbsup2

Glad your dress rehersal was as smooth as it could be ;) Abby's dance studio has 5 different recitals, but we were SO lucky to get both of her dances on the same night! We got out at 10:30 pm, so that was hard on them. I am praying for the day recital next year :goodvibes

10:30pm!!!! :scared1: Yikes! That is way too late for little ones to be up. What time did it start? There is a dance school around here that has 2 shows and each show is 4 hours long. I love all things dance, but I don't think that even I could sit through a recital that long.

Love the new haircut! Perfect for summer!

And the plans for AK sound great. We have yet to spend enough time there on the trails. It is always on the list- followed by our must-do's, but by the time we finish the must-do's it is usually too hot and we bolt for the exit.:upsidedow

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

I know what you mean about being hot at AK. Even in Jan we were roasting on parts of the trails and they were getting a bit crowded. I don't like it when people shove themselves against a viewing area to catch a glimpse of an animal.
