"I Want To Go Back!!!"....a Sept 2010 PTR(upd 10/12-TR Started!)

Wow! You had a busy weekend. I'm glad the recitals went so well and congrats to Madison for placing! Now go rest up! :)

It was a very busy weekend. It's nearly 1:30pm and I'm still in my pj's!!!

Oh my word! You were busy, busy, busy. Love all of the photos!! :)

Yes I was!!! I'm glad you liked all the pics.

WOW...are you still tired? ha!!! I love all the recital costumes...especially the ones where everyone is a different color!! Your cousin is going to be a beautiful bride!! In the family pic..are the two girls on the left sisters? They look so much alike!! I think it's a great pic...I can not take pictures in the day without my sunglasses!!! My eyes would be pouring!!!!

I'm still quite exhausted. Thanks! It's always a little tricky picking out costumes. We like to keep them affordable, but the costume companies keep bringing up their prices. I LOVE those tutus and the girls loved them too. They looked gorgeous on stage.

My cousin is going to look fantastic on her wedding day. She is the one getting married on the beach in Maryland and I can't wait! The 2 girls on the left are indeed sisters. My eyes were really beginning to water without my sunglasses. I have very sensitive eyes and it was quite painful.

I'm exhausted just reading about your weekend!

The costumes are beautiful. That's one of the things I look forward to each recital, all the colorful costumes.

Hey, to answer your question from forever ago (ahh I get so busy!), my mom does still have some family in Rochester. She tries to get there once a year, but I don't think she is this year. I haven't been since I was like 2!

Wow, I got all choked up reading about your dance recital! I can only imagine how close you are to those girls. They must really look up to you! You are going to have so much fun when you have them over for the sleepover!! I LOVE their costumes!!

Sounds like such a great weekend! Unbelievably busy, but great!

I love the pictures, they're all so incredibly pretty!

Great Job to Madison at the feis!

Wow! You and your students looked wonderful! Glad you had 2 good shows!

Congrat's to Maddie!!

I was kind of tired this morning, but once 3pm hit, I could hardly keep my eyes open! I had to take a nap after I picked Madison up from school.

I love picture day at the studio because I get to see all of the costumes.

No problem. That is really neat. Wow! Maybe next time she comes out this way for a visit you should come with her! :goodvibes

It was quite an emotional recital this year for sure. These girls are like family to me. I can't wait for our sleepover! I told them to bring videos from when they were really little and I'll even pull out some of my old ones too.

Thanks! They wanted to wear tutus this year and those ones were just perfect.

Great Job to Madison at the feis!

It was a wonderful weekend. Exhausting, but wonderful.

Thanks! I love my girls so much. They sure do drive me crazy a lot of the time, but they're all very sweet kids.

I'll pass on the congrats to her. She did so great!

Wow! You and your students looked wonderful! Glad you had 2 good shows!

Congrat's to Maddie!!

Thank you! The shows were so great. Our audience yesterday was MUCH better than our audience on Friday. I think by Fri evening, people are tired from work/school/etc. We got a lot more cheers yesterday.

I'll be sure to pass on the congrats.

WOW what a weekend you had...busy busy busy!! I bet you were exhausted!! YAY for Madison placing with one of her dances and she looked so beautiful!!!!

Loved all the pictures!!! You can tell how much you love to dance!!!

What a wonderfully exhausting weekend!! I love all of the songs your girls danced to and those costumes must have looked gorgeous onstage. There's something about performing with people for years that really bonds you-- in our high school musicals, even though it was only four years, everyone was CRUSHED when our seniors graduated. I remember sobbing during my last curtain call senior year-- way more than I did at my graduation! I felt such closeness with my peers and directors, and that was only 4 years. I can't imagine dancing together for ten!!
Great that Madison placed at her feis! Every time you do those curlers, just tell yourself that it won't be too long until she's allowed to wear a wig! (If she decides to continue with it)

It a VERY busy weekend for sure, but it was awesome. I definately fell asleep before 11pm last night which is really strange for me. We're so proud of Maddie and of course I think she looked beautiful too. :goodvibes

Thanks! Dance is my true passion and I love being a ballet teacher.

Thank you. It was tricky having a theme (At The Movies) and trying to pick songs that I could choreograph to. Everything worked out beautifully though.

I was in the musicals in HS too! My senior year we did "Grease" and me and all my senior friends had the majority of the leads (I was Cha-Cha DeGregorio). I cried SO hard right before the curtain call. We had performed so much together and we always had a ton of fun.

I cannot WAIT to get a wig! Last night was her last dance class (before we start summer classes in July) and the whole class was told they get to learn their hard shoe dances this summer! I either have to look for used hard shoes or buy brand new ones for $100.

I saw all the pics on FB, but it was fun to hear the tories behind them. It sure sounds like it was a busy weekend! I lvoe your haircut! So cute when it's straightened too. Aww, I wish we lived near you just so I could put my little girl in your classes! I think I would still be recovering from your weekend.

Awww great pics from your dancing! I love their costumes! Really compliments “be our guest”! Awww your int. ballet class is super cute! Cute pics of Madison also!! Great job on her slip jig! 3rd place?! That’s awesome! Awww that’s so cute your mom cries everytime you dance..she must be soo proud of you! Great but busy weekend! Glad it went well!

It would be fun to go out there with her sometime!! I'll have to see if I can next time she goes!!

Oh my gosh...I would bawl at all the old videos. I love going over stuff like that though. That will be so special for all of you!! How fun!!

That's awesome. I love tutus. Do you have any idea how to make them yourself, without sewing? My friend and I tried to make Broncos ones  and they were way too long and not fluffy. I think we may possibly need them a little longer since we'd be wearing them to things like a game or something and not a recital, but do they not even work well that way? I was so sad we just failed at it. Those super fluffy short ones do look ridiculously cute.

I can't remember...are you going to continue teaching when you are pregnant and just not do the Bandits or are you going to take a break from both? Do you get to start with younger girls now or what's going to happen next for students?

Hey Meghan! Love your plans so far, and your daughter is so adorable! Can't wait to read more!

It was a busy one, but it was so much fun! Thanks! I like it straight too. :goodvibes That is so sweet of you to say. Your DD is adorable and would be so much fun to teach.

I'm exhausted just reading about your weekend! It looks like an awesome time though!! :thumbsup2

I was exhausted just typing it out!!! It was a great weekend.

Thanks! The "Be Our Guest" dance looked so pretty up on stage. The colors are so bright and vibrant...I can't wait to see the video!

Maddie did so great on Saturday. Her teacher was very impressed.

My mom has always cried when I dance. It's just something about ballet that does it to her or something. She's always told me how proud she was of me.

Rochester is only an hour away, so definately try to come out with her next time!

I love watching old dance videos. I remember thinking I was so cool and then I watch myself and think, wow, that wasn't very good!

I have absolutely NO idea how to make tutus. Sorry that I'm of no help!

I will definately continue teaching next year, I just won't be able to dance in the recital. When I was pregnant with Madison, I taught right up until my due date! I will probably get a few new students who are ready to move up to the intermediate level. I'm not so good with the younger/beginner kids. I don't have a lot of patience!!!

Hey Meghan! Love your plans so far, and your daughter is so adorable! Can't wait to read more!

Thank you so much!!!

Wow- have you recovered yet? I love the costumes for the int. girls- too cute! Congrats to Maddie for winning 3rd!!! WTG!!!

Wow, what a fun action packed weekend! Congrats on Madison's 3rd place win - very cool! Love the senior girls costumes for your recital!

Not completely! :rotfl: It was pretty hard getting up this morning and I had to go to work (major bummer). It didn't help that for my entire 4 hour shift, I re-did the denim walls in men and girls. Not fun!

I liked those costumes too. They looked so pretty in them.

Maddie did such a great job and we're so proud of her.

It was definately action packed! She was very excited to get a 3rd place medal for her hardest dance. I adore those tutus!!!

I am all caught up!! Love your must-do lists! I agree Sunshine Seasons is def the best CS place. You have to try a cinnamon roll at starring rolls, they are amazing! DF thinks they are better than Main Street, but I'm not sure lol. But still really good! Love all the plans!

Thanks! My mouth starts watering when I think about Sunshine Seasons! The food (and desserts) there are just so good. A cinnamon roll from Starring Rolls is now on my to-do list. I'll have to judge them again Main Street Bakery.
