Hi,

I purchased a dlx passport planner for my 13 yr old dd, I just thought it would keep her busy for a while. For the last 2 days her face has been in this planner, busy reading writing and most of all driving my crazy with things shes read and placed we have to see and do, every time I think its safe there she is with this book, I have not see a full tv show since she has had the planner. We have been to disney 6 times I didn't think there could be so meny new things she didn't see or do, but i guess there is.
Has anyone else had this problem with a teen gone mad with planning??

No, but I've got a preteen just like her. In June I'm letting my DGD9 bring two of her friends (sisters) and I printed them off a blank planning sheet that I made on excel that I always use. I told them they could plan our days, some meals etc. She doens't have the passporter but she has an old kids offical guide and those girls are totally into the planning this time. They've requested to have a meeting with me soon to go over thier itinerary!LOL Every time they get together for "spend the nights" they're calling me and asking questions. I figured they'd pick restaurants that involved characters or fun stuff, so far they've mentioned Flying Fish, Boma, and dinner in the castle. I'm getting the biggest kick out of them! I think I'm enjoying thier planning more than planning myself!

I have the opposite monster. I have a 13 year old that is not saying, "Do we have to go to WDW AGAIN for our vacation????"<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15_1_101.gif' border=0></a> You have a better monster, let me tell you!!!!!!

THATS WHAT I TELL MY DD EVERY YEAR, DO WE HAVE TO GO TO WDW, DON'T GET ME WRONG I LOVE DISNEY, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE OTHER PLACES AS WELL, BUT TO MAKE HER HAPPY WE HAVE GONE TO DISNEY 3 YEARS IN A ROW, EVERY YEAR I SAY NEXT YEAR WE ARE GOING SOMEWHERE DIFFERENT.

Only hope that my 10 year old develops right...You apparently have a well brought up child. Ha Ha. You obviously raised her the right way.

You need to go to the trip planning forums and search back for the DELS WIFE trip reports. They are hilarious and she has a teen she calls "commando Nikki!"

My DD5 is trying to plan our next trip (we don't have a next trip yet:( ). She is very specific about what she wants. We have to stay in Mickey's house, then we have to ride the monorail up front. We are also expectecd to ride HM, Splash and ToT. I have created a monster. I wonder what will happen when I give her a passport planner!

My DS (9) is doing an independent research project for a gifted class in school.
He was able to choose his own topic to research. He chose (on his own without my "help") Walt Disney and WDW theme park.
I didn't think his advisor would approve the topic but to my surprise he did!!
Now my DS (who was already planning our Dec '04 trip) is constantly throwing facts at me about WDW. My Dh says to me, just like the post "you've created a monster". (DH is also a big WDW fan but not quite so obsessed.)
A girl can't ask for more, can she???:D

AZcathy have you tried disney quest this cured my moody 12 year old now she lkoves disney as long as we go to quest

My 2 1/2 year old dd is hysterical! Yesterday she told my mom she was saving her pennies for Mickey's castle and when Mom asked her what she was going to buy she told her "Cinderbella Shoes"!!!! My husband think's I'm brainwashing her! The thing is, I didn't prompt her or anything! I think I have a great "monster" in the works!

We are currently planning a May trip to WDW. My 5 year-old DS and I have our itinerary narrowed down to just 4 parks and riding ...everything!!!

My husband just shakes his head and says "you are your Mother's son."::yes::

THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR POSTS, IT NICE TO KNOW OTHERS HAVE OR WILL SOON BE HAVING A PLANNER TO DRIVE THEM CRAZY .

DIANE:teeth:

This is a funny thread! My DS not only wants to be in on the planning, last night he insisted I show him the online menus for the restaurants where we have priority seatings!

:teacher: I'd say we are doing a fine job schooling these young ones in the ways of the Disney maniac!;)
