I keep debating whether or not I will have time to do this review, but I will start and see how it goes.

I got my dining pictures uploaded last night, looks like there are 200 some just of dining pictures!!!!

Who? Me(Tori), DH(Brandon)
When? September 24-Oct 1
Where? We stayed at SSR in a 1 bdrm for 3 nights and studio for 4 nights.
Why? We were there to celebrate buying our first home and my 22nd birthday.

Here are the restaurants I will be reviewing, in this order:
Electric Umbrella
Narcoossee's
Crystal Palace(bfast)
Pinnochio's Village Haus
ESPN Club
Akershus(bfast)
50s Prime Time Cafe(lunch)
Coral Reef(dinner)
Cape May Cafe(bfast)
Garden Grill
Chef Mickey's(breakfast)
Yak & Yeti
Teppan Edo
Ohana(bfast)
Le Cellier
California Grill
Tokyo Dining
Yachtsman Steakhouse

I will also try and include price(with tax). We also gave the server anywhere from 10-20% in tip, depended on how the server was.

I should also add that we had two separate dining plans for our trip because we had two separate reservations, so we got 4 total refillable mugs, so I will add those in at the end.

Up first...Electric Umbrella

Day 1:

Electric Umbrella

After we checked into SSR we headed toward Epcot because I was bound and determined to ride Test Track at least twice that day, and I accomplished that goal!
It seems like it is becoming a tradition for DH and I to go to Electric Umbrella on our first day.

DH had the Bacon double cheeseburger and fries with the chocolate chip cookies, he enjoyed it but the burger was just ok, not the best
I had the the double burger with fries and for dessert I had the strawberry cheesecake. My burger was pretty gross, wasn’t cooked well and the fries were cold. The best part of the meal was the strawberry cheesecake.
It was clean in here and it wasn’t that busy.

Would we go back, yes we probably will but still didn’t like it, it gets

Cost: 28.70 with tax

Up next: Narcoossee's

Congratulations on your new home!!!

I'm in. popcorn:: Hope you are able to do the report. We are going to try deluxe for the first time in June, and I'm very curious to hear about your experience.

I'm here and very excited about your Crystal Palace and Cape May reviews. They are on my list of places to one day try. I just keep getting out voted.

Hi Tori! I'm here :)

Looking forward to your review of Narcoossees. We will be trying dinner there for the first time on our next trip.

Narcoossee's

This is the meal I was looking forward to the most, I came out of it half way disappointed, not really sure what it was and we probably will try it again because it could have just been an off night.

Day1304.jpg

Our reservation wasn't until 9:35 and after traveling earlier in the day we were getting tired. We arrived there around 9:15 I believe and the fireworks were going off so it was going to be a little bit to get seated. If I remember correctly we didn't get seated until about 9:45.

Day1305.jpg

Day1311.jpg

We were seated right by the window, and if it had been fireworks time it would have been an awesome view, next time I will make the reservation for much earlier in the day so we can watch the fireworks. Our server's name was Zahira, she was so nice and very helpful with the menu. She was a little slow, but we found out this would be a trend on our whole trip.

We got bread and butter, I can't remember what kind of bread it was but the butter was good, it had sea salt on top of it. We both got an iced tea for drink.

Day1313.jpg

Day1314.jpg

Since we were on the DxDDP we each got to choose an appetizer. I chose the crap cakes, OMG, they were so good, probably the best appetizer(next to the sushi at CG) of the whole trip. I had never had crab cakes before but I wanted to try them, and they were awesome. Crisp with a nice crab taste
Day1315.jpg

DH had the calamari for his appetizer and it was his favorite appetizer of the trip. He said it is favorite calamari of any restaurant we have gone too. I tasted it too and it was nice and crisp(not slimy) and had a nice flavor to it.
Day1316.jpg

For dinner we both got the surf and turf. It was a lobster tail and filet. The filet was awesome, 3rd favorite of the trip. I like my steak about medium rare to medium and it was cooked really good and the flavoring was awesome. The lobster on the other hand was not so good, could be I just don't like lobster, it was the first time eating lobster so I had nothing to compare it to. If we go back I would get the filet by itself. DH had the same review as I did.
Day1317.jpg

For dessert I wanted the almond crusted cheesecake but they were all out of it!!!!! I was really upset because I am a cheesecake NUT! So instead I had the chocolate cake thing, the chocolate cake part was good but the orange sauce they put on it tasted like cough syrup, yuck!
Day1321.jpg

DH had the gelato sampler. I tasted a couple of them but the only one I liked was the chocolate. Dh liked them all and I was really surprised because he is really picky. I think the flavors were chocolate, Pistachio, raspberry, and some coffee flavored on I think.
Day1322.jpg

Overall, we liked the food but were a little disappointed, like I said it was probably just an off night. The service was so slow, we didn't get out of there until almost 12:00, we had to take a bus to DTD and then transfer to SSR. Will we go back? Yes probably, we will try it again.

Cost: It was 163.55 with tax before tip.

Snacks: We got two smart waters which were 7.50 for the two waters.

Up next...Crystal Palace for breakfast, Tigger scared me half to death

We love the DxDDP!

Sorry to hear Nacroossees was a bit disappointing though, like you said it could have been an off night :confused3

I can't wait to read more about your dining adventures!

Thanks, we love our house. DxDDP is definitely a lot of food, you won't go away hungry.

Sounds like a great line-up! Keep them coming.

Thanks for reading

I can't wait to hear all of your reviews. Waiting and salivating.

Hopefully I can do at least two a week, I will try my hardest.

I'm in! I can't wait for some of these reviews, we're hitting a few of them for the first time in February!

Just so you know... the lobster in the surf and turf is spiny lobster, not Maine lobster. There's a huge difference in flavor and texture. So, you might actually like lobster, just not spiny lobster. I'm from Maine, so I'm like an expert on the subject :goodvibes

Yes--more food porn! Great start and anxious to read more.

I love food porn, makes me hungry looking at all of the food though!

I'm jealous you get to go in February, we're hopefully going again next December.

That is good to know, I will have to try regular lobster sometime, seafood is one of my favorites.

Thanks for joining in!

I will try and do another review tomorrow night or sometime this weekend, my favorite college bball team is playing tomorrow night against our rival, so I may be watching that, unless it is a blow out. Hope you all have a nice couple of days!
