Okay - I know it's fairly petty, but it really irks me when someone parks in our spot in front of our house.
We are one of the very few houses on this street that does not have a driveway. Our lot along the street is half the size of the rest of the homes on our street, so we have less street parking. The snow piles make it worse. We have enough room for my van and my husband's car.
On Christmas Eve, we came home to someone parked in our spot. It belonged to the boyfriend of the girl that lives across the street. They have a huge driveway and alot of street parking. Not to mention, the people directly across the street from us - next to this other house - are in Florida until March. So, they can park in front of their house and would be closer than parking in our spot. I had major surgery on Monday and had to traipse around trying to figure out who this car belonged to.
I find it extremely rude.
We also live two houses up from a funeral home and across the street from a church. My husband left for the grocery store a bit ago and immediately, someone pulled into our spot. Apparently, there is a funeral today. I'm very sorry about that, but the church parking lot - DIRECTLY across from the funeral home - was EMPTY!!!
I went to the door and asked the guy to move his truck. There were people pulling up in front of the neighbor's house also going to the funeral home and they gave me nasty looks. I don't care!!! Park in the funeral home parking lot or the church parking lot - which were both EMPTY!!!
Am I the only one to find this rude???
Sorry for the vent!
