I have the hardest time finding a pair of jeans that fit right. They all show my butt crack when I bend over! :) I usually spend about $40-50 on jeans but I would be willing to spend more to find the perfect pair.

What are your favorites?

Well, we don't know your size/height and body type..

But, I have some Levi's 518 (they have just a bit of stretch to them)
And, I believe that they come up just a big higher than than most of todays 'low cut' jeans. And, if you need a real slimming effect, the narrower cut leg with the stretch, and just a bit of a flare at the bottom is very flattering.

I am hard to fit...
And, can't wear the low-cuts because they will simply fall off!! :scared1:
If they don't come up high enough to hold up onto the muffin-top area, they are down... ( Pant's on the ground... Pant's on the ground!!!!! :rotfl2:)

And, higher cuts (ladies or 'mom' jeans) come way up around the waist and are way to tight at the waist!

For Summer, I wear the Levis 515 cropped jeans with a cuff....
They actually fit better than the 518's... but they have a wider leg with no stretch. They are great for cropped Capri lenght... But in winter, for long pants, I need the skinny boot cut of the 518's to be slimming. My legs are on the shorter side.

If I could have the top of the 515 with the skinnier boot cut let of the 518's, That might be ideal for me!

I love Gap jeans. I'm short and their petite sizes fit me perfectly :thumbsup2

I have had good luck with Ralph Lauren jeans.

ETA- They have the low rise, but not too low. They fit well in the hip area, and generally all over. Very comfortable. Can be dressed up or down pretty well. I like the darker blue jeans.

I have Levi's and Old Navy. My "go to" pair are the Old Navy sweetheart fit jeans. They are "curvy" which is great for me. Low cut, but not too low. And the price is right.:thumbsup2

I haven't bought jeans in years for that exact reason. I am not 16, don't need to dress like I am 16 so finding jeans that comes to your waist is pretty much impossible these days. I have some old Levi's that I am sure many were term "mom jeans" but guess what, I AM a mom and I don't want my butt crack hanging out like so many WOMEN I see.

I can only wear low cut jeans because I have WIDE hips and a small waist (apparently I was built for child-bearing! :lmao: ) so any jeans that fit my gigantic hips are massively too big above my hips. So, I was forever dealing with "butt crack syndrome" - Old Navy, GAP, American Eagle, and Bluenotes all were always slipping down and showing off my crack. Long shirts were my friend.

A couple months ago, someone posted on the Budget Board that Lucky Brand Jeans were $27 on target.com (regularly $110). I scooped up two pairs to meet the $50 free shipping... I have not put on another pair of jeans since. They have a bit of stretch to them and the denim just feels more comfortable than any other jeans I've ever tried. Because they move with you more than other jeans, they don't fall off when you bend over or crouch down! I'm a convert!

for 2 of the 3 of us (one plus sized and one almost 6 ft tall but average otherwise) we love Gloria Vanderbilt brands-some styles fit better but overall they are our favorites

the other one (5'2" and curvy) loves Blue Asphalt brand in short...they are the perfect length.

You can find the GV at JcPenney (we actually get ours at the thrift store...much cheaper) and BA at Wet Seal....all really reasonably priced.

I don't know your size, but if you are in the size 14 and up range, Lane Bryant has different cuts for different shapes. I am pear shaped so if the jeans fit my rear, they are generally 3 inches too big in the waist and fall down too low. I found a pair at Lane Bryant that are cut higher and smaller at the waist so they don't gap and they stay up! Yay! (Mine are the stretch bootcut - BLUE fit).

I only wear Old Navy sweetheart style jeans now, they are the only ones I can find that fit right

I read a blurb where, Stacy London (from What Not To Wear) recommends Lee jeans. It wasn't an advertisement but an article, although I know she has been in advertisements for them in the past. I am going to check out Lee jeans again next time I go shopping. She stated they are slenderizing and work for most shapes. So I'm going to give them a try. I haven't bought Lee jeans in years!

I think the biggest thing is you'll just have to go around and find a brand and a style that fits you. I think the biggest pointer I can give you is try two pairs of each size. Jeans are one of the most varying sized clothes in that a size 6 pair of jeans of the same style and color can fit different than another pair of jeans, same size, style and color. If a pair of jeans fit almost right, go and find another of the same size and try that.

My favorite has always been American Eagle jeans. I'm only 5'3" so one important part when purchasing jeans for me is that there needs to be a "petite" or "short" option. Especially when it rains so much here in Oregon, a dragging jean that gets wet grosses me out.

The shape of them fits well with me. They used to have a style that was replaced by the AE Artist style that was perfect for me. I like to wear my jeans as tight as I can around the upper leg without giving me a muffin top or without being tight all the way down the leg.

I still have some of the old style jeans! They're about 5 years old but they're still holding up. I like the Slim Boot style more now.

They're a pretty good price, $29.50-49.50 (most are $39.50) and you can catch them $10 off often. Or sometimes on the sales rack, they can be $9.99.

I'm a big fan of American Eagle and Lucky Brand jeans. Both brands always fit me really well. Plus, luckybrand.com is having a tag sale right now, so there's some good deals on pants [and the rest of their clothes!] :thumbsup2

Joe's Jeans are great, they come in all styles- curvy, petite, high waist, etc. They are generally $80 and under in discount department stores.

The only jeans that fit right for me are from Delia's. They have sizes 00 up to I don't even know, with inseams of 26", 28", 30", 32", 34", 36", & 38", so they're great for both really short people (me) and really tall people. They have a lot of different styles of jeans, as well as corduroy, linen, khaki, etc.

Lee Jeans used to fit me well, but they are hard to find here for some reason.

I have some JAG jeans that I really like (but they were expensive---)

I have recently found St. John's Bay jeans at JCPenney that I really LOVE... and they were on sale for 14.99 a pair :worship:

I like Not Your Daughters Jeans. I found them on sale at Lohemans, and I love them. I also like the Lee's I found (I think at Kohls?). But those NYDJ are my favorites!

Ann Taylor Loft. They have 3 types for 3 types body style. I love my Marissa's.

I recently discovered Lucky Brand jeans. They are pricey but can be found at a substantial discount. My butt never looked so good, well at least while I've been in my 30's
