Ok so My mom and I are thinking about going back to Disney this September. The thing is that last September when we went everyone had the free dining plan and we were pretty much the only ones in the park who did not! My question is, how do I get the free dining plan this year??? I mean is there a possibility we can still get it??? I know you guys have the answers! Thank you!!

A few threads above your post. Is the free dining watch thread. Just keep checking that daily. That way when free dining is offered. You will get the code, and be able to book. Have fun!

here's the short version...in the past, it's been offered early in April (around the 10th of so) to book trips from late August (around the 20th or so) through the end of September. You have to book a Disney owned hotel & pay rack rate on your room. You must book a room/ticket package to get it (room & at least 1 day ticket.) Rack rate is not bad at that time of year, because it's the cheapest season to book anyway. Free dining is the the "plus dining" option which gives you 1 Table service, 1 counter service and 1 snack per person for each night of your hotel stay. If they offer Free dining, book your package early to have the best choice of rooms & resorts (they usually have set aside only some rooms at each resort, so your choice may be gone if you wait too long.)

OK..so I have to book my trip by calling the reservationist on the phone and they will tell me then if I am able to get the free dining? I am def. going to book a disney resort(hopefully port orleans FQ) and the magic your way so that will not be an issue! Thanks

you can call or you can book on-line when & if the Free Dining is offered. Keep watching these boards...I guarantee you when it's announced it will be posted on here very quickly.

You may want to consider booking through Dreams Unlimited. There is a link on the Dis homepage. We have used them for many trips and they are great. They provide you with a travel consultant that helps with your ADR's and keeps a watch for any deals that may come up (Free dining). A week or so before your trip you will get an itinerary to print up and take with you. Just one opinion, but we really like Dreams Unlimited.
