Yes you can take the monorail from EPCOT to the TTC, then switch to the Resort Monorail. GF will be the second stop after the Poly. Depending on how busy it is and if you've just missed a train, it could take between 30 minutes to an hour.
Using park transportation, the monorail is your only option. It actually involves taking two monorails though - one from Epcot to the TTC, and then transferring to the resort monorail. I'd say give yourself an hour to allow for transportation time as well as waiting time.

I agree with above posters. Probably 30min, but could be up to an hour. The GF is lovely, so if you are early, get a drink and walk around the lovely grounds/lobby.
Neither have I. As I know you have, I've of course known there weren't buses to MK (under normal circumstances), but I'm pretty sure I've read over the years that they did go to Epcot--definitely could be wrong though!

When we don't want to take the monorail we use the bus from Epcot to TTC then walk or monorail to GF. We usually beat the other members that want to take the monorail.

I promise there is and have taken it more than once. Can't guarantee that it is always there but we used it in Dec. 2014 and Jan 2015. Was the first stop at the corner so one of the close stops next to the Hollywood Studios bus. The monorail was running all the times we used it and we only noticed it one day because we had planned on going to HS and changed our mind after waiting for the bus and an transportation CM told us to get on the TTC bus instead of going back to monorail. I will say this was all within that last year or so and could be offered because of down time on monorails even though they were running at the time.
The bus could be a fluke but I am surprised you don't have a map of the walkway from TTC to Poly and then on to GF. It is paved the whole way. We walk between GF and Poly for dinner many evenings or to get a Dole Whip.
You walk from TTC to Poly and take the walkway to GF no sand involved I promise. Have completed that walk hundreds of times. About 15 minutes.
It's not. Only time they run a bus between TTC and Epcot is if the monorail is out of service for that route.
(And, it can be very late at night after the Epcot monorail has made its last run.)
I didn't say you could not walk between TTC and GF.

And, the "walk" from TTC to Grand Floridian would be a LONG and sandy one.
I don't see how you could beat anyone with that plan.
Yup, you can take the monorail to TTC and then switch to the resort monorail. I would plan for a hour and if you are early, stroll around the GF grounds or hang out in the GF lobby and enjoy! Such a beautiful resort.
