I bought the BE starter kit from Sephora last week and I'm going to try and apply the stuff today. I watched the dvd and I think I get the whole swirl, tap, buff thing. I also bought Well Rested because I heard it was supposed to be good for dark circles but they don't mention how to apply it in the dvd :confused3 . Is it like a bisque that you apply over the foundation or do you put it on first?

BTW, thank you wise women of the dis for telling me about this product line. I had a rosecea outbreak in Vegas and one of the workers at Sephora was able to conceal it using just the BE foundation! I can't believe I've gone so long without trying it!

I use Well Rested, and I love it! I apply it a few different ways with the same results.

I moisturize first and let it sink in very well. Sometimes I'll apply the WR first, sweeping it a good 1-2 inches under my eyes and buffing it in gently. I use a large lid brush from Sonia Kashuk (sp.?) that I got at Target--cheap and effective. As with all BE, start off with a small amount and build from there if you want more coverage. I'll then put on the foundation, making sure to blend it up into where the WR ends, so there's no discernable change of colors--blend, blend blend! :) I've also applied it in reverse--foundation first, then WR. As long as I blend, it's worked well either way.

I love WR, and use it on days I dont even wear foundation because it really brightens the eye area--just remember to use sparingly at first, then build the coverage you want. As long as you buff/blend all the products very well (I use a Kat Kabuki brush for foundation and finishing powders--I don't use BE's MV because the bismuth makes my face itchy. Instead I use Pure Luxe's Translucent Finishing Powder and April's Mix) you should love your look! :thumbsup2

Got it...the key is to blend, blend, blend! I'm going to break out my fancy new brushes and give it a try. Thanks :)

Yes, blending, buffing, and using the smallest amount possible at first. There's a learning curve with BE because it's nothing at all like liquid/cream formulations, but once you get the hang of things, you'll love it! I also can't stress enough to use moisturizer before WR if you have any wrinkles or crinkles! I'm 39, and I certainly do, and the moisturizer keeps the WR from settling into the lines--even the tiniest of ones.

I've spent the last year trying all sorts of BE eye shadows and blushes, and I've found some colors I really love. I never really wore anything but neutrals before, but BE has so many pretty and workable colors that I've been able to come up with a lot different looks. Have fun! :sunny:
