He was in San Francisco to sign copies of his autobiography. It was certainly a thrill to meet him. I was 697 in line and he was still standing up to sign each book. After signing the book he would thank each person for coming and shake hands. Charming!
He is much better looking in person with his white hair and bright blue eyes. He was also in great shape, looks like the South Beach Diet really works.

:smooth:

I'm jealous! I want to read the book but 900+ pages!?

I was hoping to get a chance to meet him but he is only making a stop in Coral Gables, FL. We're in Tampa Bay and Coral Gables is south of Miami. A bit of a drive.

Oh well. Maybe he'll campaign for Kerry here in Tampa!

Glad you got the chance to meet him!

BTW, GoldenGate, I sent you a PM some time ago!

He'll be in my city, San Jose, tomorrow night. But I'm going to stay farrrrrrrrrr away. They said the traffic is going to be a nightmare around the Barnes & Noble where he's gonna be.

Bill really is a nice guy. Granted he has his faults but hes a guy lol dont we aLL? I met bill several times before he left AR. Even ate at a festival at the table behind his. imho Bill was a good president and a good guy in most things. Hillary i was not impressed by. I always felt like s he was putting on a fake front for the public at events. She never seemed real to me, Bill was always a normal guy:)

I heard a few days ago that his book isn't going very well in this area. :teeth: Yes, I've been to B&N and tonight to Books-A-Million. Both have STACKS of his book. No lines. ;) :duck:

Charming? His type usually is! :duck:

He lives about 45 mins away from us and one of the members in my gym sees him all the time in the Chappaqua library. She says he's as charming in person as he is on T.V. I may have to go to the Library to catch a glimpse of him. ;)

No matter, it's setting record sales nationwide. I watched President Clinton on Larry King the other night and I'm still as impressed as ever. He's an excellent speaker and despite his personal flaws, was a great President.

While I didn't care for him as a President, I still think it would be cool to meet any former President.

He is going to be in Issaquah WA on Wednesday at Costco signing his book. Right where I work!! :bounce:

I sooooo wanted to go down there for it!! I just don't think taking Amelie out to stand in line is a good idea at this point!

I met him years ago when he was running for president  :faint: DH may still go down and get my copy of the book signed. :teeth:

I plan to be in line when he comes to Buckhead 7/23! I know it's going to be a mess, there are NO books to be found in my neighborhood. I'm holding out to buy mine there. Can't wait!

#697 you say? I think I remember you. You are that cute Virgo human resource specialist aren't you. My gosh, all of these compliments....I feel like Dan Murphy! It's great meeting so many wonderful people. Now, go out there and buy my book.

Don't have any desire to read his book, and wouldn't want to meet him either. :sad2:

I would have loved to have had him sign a book for mewhen he was near my office in NY, but folks were sleeping in line over night there was such a line. I met him during his inauguration and he was very charismatic.

Cool beans!!

I've always liked Bill! I do think in 50 years he will be noted as one of our countries better Presidents.
