I've been granted another "pardon".. LOL..

Extended weather looks fine for this coming week - talked to my Dson-in-law last night - and everyone is okay with me staying on here at the lake for another week..:yay::yay::yay::yay:

However, I was told that even if the week of Christmas soars up into the 80's, I have to go back home..:rotfl:

Happy, happy day! :banana::cool1::dance3::cheer2:

Do you really love him, or is it his warm front?;)

Man C.Ann, how'd you swing that?!?! Is your little DGD having a fit you won't be back to celebrate Thanksgiving with them?? :flower3:

No - my DGD is fine with it.. They have a tradition where they go to DD's IL's for dinner and then on to the MIL's brothers house to congregate and visit with that side of the family until the wee hours of the morning..

Since my DH passed away and I stopped cooking (since there is no one to cook for), I just don't "do" Thanksgiving anymore.. Of course I'm invited to both of the IL's gatherings, but since I live with my DD and their family, I think it's important that they attend some family functions on my Dson-in-law's side just as "their family unit".. :goodvibes

DGD is all excited about our traditional "grandma/DGD" Christmas baking session though and has been busy making Christmas CD's on her computer for the music we'll be listening to while we're making our goodies..:lovestruc So as I said, even if it hits 80 degrees up here, there's NO WAY anyone would let me get away with staying here for Christmas..:rotfl:

Now the question is - I have never spent Thanksgiving up here before - and for me that's a really, really exciting thought..:yay: I'm wondering what I could do to make it memorable? Maybe go to town and get some inexpensive Thanksgiving decorations for outside and spend the day taking photos of Thanksgiving at the lake?? Gosh - I still can't believe I'm going to get to do this!!!!! :yay::yay::yay:

After the summer (and fall) that "wasn't", this is SUCH a treat!!! :thumbsup2

Well, since you said you wanted to celebrate Christmas at the lake, why not decorate for Christmas and pretend it's Christmas? :confused3

I know...soooooo not the same as the real thing!

Yeah - that would seem kind of "fake" - KWIM? And besides, it might encourage SNOW to come my way!!!

Gotcha ;)! Know how it is with sweet DGD's and they seem to get so excited doing the smallest thing with grandparent. :thumbsup2

Glad your Thanksgiving at the lake is coming true - by all means, make it special! :goodvibes

BTW ~ did anything show on your sono? Hope you're all recouped and feeling better?

Hoping to get the results of that - as well as the blood work - tomorrow..

I feel fine now though.. No pain - no nausea.. Really makes me wonder if it's those GB problems that flare off and on before the "big" one.. If nothing shows via the tests, I imagine the next time I have one of these episodes I'll have to have that Hida test done.. From what I understand, you don't actually have to have gall "stones" to have GB issues..

Think I'll stay away from the ice cream for awhile though.. LOL..

Glad you're feeling better and hope tests are negative . You're exactally right, no gallstones for me, mine was simply not functioning. :goodvibes
