I love Sonic

There's always sonic commercials on TV, but there isn't a sonic anywhere around here. It's horrible, the commercials tease you will all the great drinks and food, but we can't get any!!!! :confused3

What is Sonic ice? We always see the commercials here also, but there is not one in our state or have I ever seen one while traveling.

I think it's called bubble ice. Air is shot through the water as it's freezing, so the ice pellets have lots of bubbles making them soft and easy to chew. I run over to Sonic and buy a couple bags of it when we stay in the WDW villas. I think it was about $1 a bag. It's the only thing I like about Sonic, but it's worth the trip on it's own.

Mmmmm! Sonic ice! That's my favorite!

The strawberry slushes are good. Made with real strawberries (probably frozen :teeth: ). A little hard to suck the strawberry pieces through the straw sometimes but still very good.

Their shakes are good too.

I like their hamburgers but don't get me started on their chili cheese dogs. It's the one place I've found where the chili does not give me heartburn.

With all the rave reviews, if I ever see a Sonic, that is one thing that will be on my list.
Oh, and those slushie drinks that we always see on t.v.

No Sonic here in Richmond, VA. There used to be one in the surrounding area but that closed ages ago. The closest one to me is in Williamsburg.

There is only one good thing I can think of in regards to not living close to a Sonics....I'm sure I would be 10 lbs heavier if I lived by one! Each time I've been to one, I've stuffed myself because the coney dogs and desserts are so good. (And reasonably priced!) I LOVE it when I get there for the "happy hour"!

I must have a cherry limeade from Sonic at least once a week. Thank goodness there's one right up the road from my house.

One of DD7's classmates' dad owns the local franchises, so we're always excited when he signs up to bring stuff for party days. For the Christmas party it was gingerbread shakes and popcorn chicken for everyone. :goodvibes

We have quite a few Sonic locations around here. There's one about 5 minutes from my house, and there's one about 8 minutes from work. I love their burgers and onion rings, but I try not to go there too often as I don't need the calories. :)

My favorite thing is the cherry limeades. The strawberry cream slushes are pretty good too.

For food, I like the chicken club toaster or chili cheese fries or a chili cheese dog. I don't like their fries or tots plain, or their greasy hamburgers. Oh the breakfast toaster sandwhiches are good too. :thumbsup2

They are always on here in NY also. We at in several in Georgia (Savannah area) to be exact and I love them. The drinks are fabulous. The chicken wrap was excellent and my son loved the chicken fingers. I wish they were closer!!!!!

I'm off to get dessert because of this thread.

Thanks!!

Maybe the Oreo blast-or strawberry slush-or powerade slush-or just plain ice cream............................

It's dangerous to have Sonic within walking distance of home.

My favorite is a strawberry diet coke. YUMMERS!!!!!!!!!!! Their chili cheese coneys are to die for but they no longer sit well on my tummy-nor do the burgers but it is nice for a rare treat!

And sonic ice YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came here to post how much I hate our local Sonic which is 5 minutes from my house, but now I remember that I do love that ice and the Cherry Limeades. I haven't stopped at Sonic in awhile because there are always nasty people working there and the food was always cold and greasy. I have to admit that I miss the drinks. I am an ice cruncher too. I may just stop there on my way out tonight! :sunny:

oh now I have more ideas for when we go. I don't care about the food. I forgot about the strawberry slushies. The chocolate cream pie shakes are yum too.

I am seriously addicted to Sonic. Gotta have my Dr. Pepper with extra ice. I am known to seek out Sonic's when we are travelling just to get my fix. Their corporate headquarters are here & I grew up with the daughter of one of the founders. Teen years were spent making the "drag" between the Sonic & the A&W Drive In scoping out cute boys & giggling with my girlfriends.

Crunching on my Sonic ice right now. :cool1:

I'm a chili cheese dog addict--it's the only thing I will order from them, although it looks like the rest of their menu is pretty good too. :rotfl2:

We are from up north too and have never been to a Sonic. We went to Florida last month and before we went, my dad looked up the locations for some Sonics. I think he knew where every singe Sonic was in the Tampa area. The one we went to, though, was in, well, lets just say an interesting area of town. It was a very adult area, but had a Sonic and a pet store right across the street ( :confused3 huh?).

They have a new fat-free smoothie selection! just had the Strawberry-Banana  and it was wonderful! Now, if only it was calorie free, hmmmm :teeth:

PS...daughter is addicted to Sonic's popcorn chicken. Nuggets no longer will do. Maybe she is maturing??? :rotfl2:

Both of my "nearby" Sonics are in worse parts of town - we call one the "murder Sonic" because it's so close to a sketchy part of town, and the other the "rat Sonic" because we once saw a rat going under the Dumpster at night. If my daughter calls and says she's going to stop by Sonic, I always say, "Murder or rat?" so I'll know which side of town she's on!!!!
