I love credit cards so much!

Silly question, but someone remind me- is the Disney card subject to 5/24? DH has had one since 2012, so I don't want to close his or anything since it's one of his oldest cards. However, I was thinking I could refer myself for it sometime next year to make a payment for the 2019 vacation. Thoughts?

At the moment, no. But who knows what next year will bring.

Just curious: Is anyone still using Plastiq at all after the loss of 3x? I was crunching numbers trying to find a way to make it work. Best I can come up with is the Arrival+ but even then at 2 years it looks like it will only net me $309 after factoring in the AF & Plastiq's fees. I don't think $150 a year is worth a 5/24 slot.
nope

OK, little backtrack to our discussion on card color/designs, the Sapphire debit card is what the CSR should have looked like. (Although maybe CSR blue and leave the debit green)

Debit pic posted on bank thread of r/churning discussing the new Sapphire banking: https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/9jm0r5/comment/e6v4tw6

Since churning the Sapphires every 2 years is out, I've been wondering if there's any real advantage to waiting to get P2 the CSP next year per the plan. Been following the Sapphire banking and if we move a bunch of stuff we could make the minimum I think but almost all of it is just P2s and I'm the one with the Sapphire. If I can't do it as joint to be able to move his stuff in, then he'd need the CSP. At first I thought that'd be a long time to wait but then realized that I'm not sure we need to wait that long. Unless I'm missing something other than waiting for an increased offer?

I probably will if the Dosh/Sam's offer continues. $20 back on every MasterCard I buy @ Sam's + a $20 Uber credit is a decent return even after paying the Plastiq fees. If I had another way to liquidate the MasterCards I would, but I'm still coming out ahead with Dosh. Would be nice to get that extra free night on my new Hyatt card. Plus, I'm planning to apply for the CIP in about a month, so it will help with the MSR.

Question - can I get approved for the CIP if I already have the CIC?

Ugh.I'd like to ignore it and throw it out the window, but then with my luck I'll get charged suddenly in 6 months so I'll try the chat- thanks for the tip!

I chatted for the 3rd time today. The rep is sending the issue to the resolution group AGAIN! They are supposed to manually mark the order shipped so that the activation email generates and your card gets charged. Super annoying!

Your health insurance is required to pay for your flu shot without any co-payment because of the ACA if you're with an in network provider. I would check at another place.

Otherwise I think you can get one at Costco for $20 or so.

We lost bcbs when dh changed jobs. New job insurance option was atrocious. So now we have a non compliant plan thru farm bureau.

I moved today. That wasn't so bad. But being a churner, with tens of bank accounts/credit cards/loyalty accounts to update? That's the worst.

It really is... we moved 4 years ago and I said we were staying at this current house forever because I wasn't going through changing something like 35 financial accounts again.

I think a lot of people have both CIP and CIC.

When those discounts come out you can qualify by either putting the deposit on the Disney Visa Credit Card OR a Disney Rewards Redemption Card (from the credit card). I had a bunch of money on Disney Rewards Redemption Cards earned from referrals (free money :)) so I wanted to use those for my deposit.

Also worth noting: whenever I get a referral on my Disney CCs I always keep that money on the Redemption Card. I try not to use those funds at the Disney store so that I have those funds for a deposit when Disney Visa discounts are released to Disney World.

I never knew this! Thank you for your explanation!

The @SouthFayetteFan Disney trip update...

So as you know we are BOOKED now for Yacht Club & Grand Floridian! 4 nights at Yacht (those will be our Epcot & Hollywood Studios days...yay no buses!); Then 3 nights at GF (3 days at MK with 1 AK day in there).

Yesterday the refunds processed back to my Disney Rewards cards from the Agency Exclusive I cancelled. Today the TA put the deposit on my Disney Rewards Card and initiated the refund back to my Disney Visa CC. I still think she thinks I'm crazy...I tried to explain why earning 1% back on that Disney Visa was a bad thing and I preferred to use Disney GCs purchased with a better CC. Oh well...She can think I'm crazy...I'm the one saving 18-30% on these GC purchases. I ain't about to settle for 1% even on $350 of my trip cost!

So we're all set now until final payments due in December and January respectively. Now I just have to purchase $4,700 in Disney GCs at the best discount possible. Waiting on a Double Fuel Perks promo now at the Grocery store!!

So is the plan still to cash out those unused UR?

@striker1064 Are you online instead of watching this terrible game?? No clanga clanga 2 weeks in a row. Boo

I was changing address on our 30-40 accounts while the game was on in the background because that was far more interesting than watching that offense.

I would have been happy going 1-11 this year as long as we had beaten Florida. Wasn't meant to be.

Good mail day as our magic bands came. Girls were so excited to see luggage tags especially when I told them we will have dining plan this trip. For them it means more food in parks instead of my usual “you can all share one mickey pretzel.” It sounds vaguely ridiculous to write out but it is bittersweet for me since this will be our last trip paid for with UR’s. I hope I am wrong but not too hopeful. Guess we will just enjoy our “free” food this time and fingers crossed we can get a Halloween themed refillable mug. :)

I doubt Chase cares but I have hardly any spending at all right now on my Chase cards. It is all going to Amex.
