Regarding NCL and Chase. I booked a cruise direct through NCL. I then called Chase Travel and Tour and they provided a form that we needed to fill out and submit to NCL to have it transferred over to Chase (acting as a Travel Agent).
Here's a summary from one of my previous posts.
---------------------------
June 4: Cruise booked directly with NCL, $150 deposit paid.
Tuesday June 26
DH called Chase Travel and Tour (or whatever it’s called) and was originally bounced around to a few different numbers. He tried to enter Melissa’s extension but as others have pointed out they recently changed the extension system so it didn’t work. He ended up with a rep named Odelia. She sent him a NCL document that needed to be competed along with information on what travel agent to list (Loyalty Travel). DH filled out the form and scanned/emailed to the NCL email address listed (****@cxloyalty.com).
Wednesday June 27
He received an email from NCL this morning indicating the transfer was complete.
I was finally able to login to UR portal and I moved enough points over to the CSR to cover remaining balance (around $3600 = 240,000 UR points).
Chase rep (Odelia) called DH and said balance needed to be paid in full at time of txfr. I told him to just pay off since we had the URs and he confirmed we can cancel for full refund per NCL policy. They would refund our URs and NCL our deposit. We may have been able to push back on paying but took the easier route.
A few hours later Chase emailed confirmation of the cruise with a new Chase booking ID and summary of all payments made (NCL deposit which indicated paid directly to vendor, balance payment made to NCL I assume using a Chase travel MasterCard (not our card), and then memoing our redemption of UR points).
Heres the full list of Travel Disclosures sent if anyone wants to read through.
So far so good, will update with any new information.
One thing to note, the cruise was booked directly through NCL with me as the primary passenger. When we filled out the transfer we put it in my name. DH has the CSR and there were no issues with him calling and handling the transfer.
Our Chase rep also said we only have 30 days to transfer. NCL documentation indicated that as well.
