I can be a recent DP. Have had an Amex ED and BCP forever (Amex says we have a 9 year relationship ). At the end of last year I was able to pull the 100K Plat offer through CardMatch. Decided to hold off at the time. Tried again in May and was able to pull it again. After hearing about @Lain's struggle's with generating the offer again for his DW, I pulled the trigger at the end of May. No name tricks, no incognito. Just straight CM.

That's bananas. As protective as Amex is of that Platinum, and especially the 100k offer, I'm impressed you pulled it!

My mom got a Hamilton Beach stand mixer that we used when I was growing up. She gave it to me when I moved into an apartment in college. I burnt the motor out the first time I used it, haha. I was making my grandma's molasses cookies which is a heavy dough and the old mixer just couldn't take it. It had been several years since it had been used which may have been part of the problem but mom was still a bit sad I had to throw it out.

My mom gave me her old Hamilton Beach stand mixer and it blew a fuse when I plugged it in.
I LOVE my KitchenAid. I got the basic white one for Christmas a few years ago. DH works in the paint industry, and he had a guy paint mine with glittery green automotive paint. It's the coolest! After the guy did mine it started a trend of everyone in the shop painting their own.

Completely off topic, but thanks to all who had mentioned "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" during the Amazon Prime price increase talks a couple of months ago. We just finished watching it last night and DH and I both really enjoyed it!

Did you all see it was nominated for 14 Emmy's... I'm excited for season 2.

We were in Zion in mid April this year and the narrows hike was open. I think its hit or miss that time of year. We didn't do it because my little one isn't a strong swimmer (she was barely 5 at the time) and it didn't sound fun to try to manage a little one on that hike. We didn't do Angel's Landing either becasue both DH and my older kid are terrified of heights. Even missing out on 2 of the headliners, we LOVED Zion and had a great time doing a bunch of the other hikes. DH and my older kid biked the length of the canyon - really easy and fun. We loved Bryce, too - like another planet. I think if DH had his way, every vacation would be to the Utah parks... It was an amazing trip (for everyone other than my older kid who was really tired of having to deal with her fear of massive drop-offs everywhere we went. DH is scared of heights, but is also a photographer, so the view was worth the fear for him).

This gives me hope. I know that the Narrows are prone to flash flooding like all slot canyons are so they monitor the weather conditions carefully as a few hikers have died. As for Angels Landing, it's a bucket list thing. I should probably stick with the Emerald Pools Trail which is a beginners hike...lol

OOOOH. I didn't it possible but I am now even more excited! Our itinerary is to stay 2 nights at Lake Louise (not the Fairmont, started too late to this points game for this year), then drive IceFields Parkway, 2 nights Japser, drive back to Banff for 2 nights before heading to Glacier for a week.

Where are you staying in Lake Louise? Are you flying into Calgary or Vancouver? When we went, the Athabasca Glacier walk was closed. I hear this attraction is a must do.

Good deal for those like me who aren't already Sam's Club members and have several Amex Offers for Samsclub .com ($15 off $50) to use in the next 13 days or so. I doubt I'll ever step foot into a Sam's Club (too far), but I keep reading about discounted Disney Gift Cards and I want in. It's an effective $10 fee, but I'll make my money back in savings.

I'd add that Groupon e-gift cards are available on Gyft, which earns 3x UR on CIP and 5x UR on CIC. (Walmart e-gift cards, which can be used at Sam's Club, are also available on Gyft.) I purchased a $35 Groupon e-gift card on Gyft, redeemed it to my Groupon account, and it automatically applied against the $35 Sam's Club fee.

Here's an FYI I just discovered. Apologies if it has already been covered. I noticed that there were two different Chase Southwest credit cards. I have the premier and tried to open the Plus version to get the extra bonus points. They would not allow me to open the Plus card because I already have the other card. So THAT was a bummer!

Determined to get some bonus points I discovered if you open a Chase Sapphire card you can get 50,000 bonus points which you can transfer to your Southwest rewards account (1:1 ratio). The down side is you have to spend 4,000 to get the points but our trip is more than that so that stipulation works for. Oh yeah flyin' free again!

After stepping foot in mine a couple times now (and really it's not bad, just not super convenient unless I'm on the way home from work) I'm pretty tempted to upgrade to the Plus membership for free shipping.

I always order Disney GC's from them online I rarely go in the club but it's not as bad in there as I thought it would be. Actually way less busy than Costco and they carry many of the same items so sometimes it's ok.

Having trouble with Plastiq payment. I'm trying to pay my sewer bill to the city. They want either the account number or our address on the 'check'. I tried sending it through plastiq but I'm getting an error saying the account number isn't valid (except it is...) and if I try to put in my address there, says not valid, names not valid, can't leave the field blank...I could contact Plastiq but not sure I want eyes on my account. Anyone else have this problem?

Not sure if this is exactly the same, but I was trying to pay our gas bill on Plastiq and was using a payee (Intermountain Gas) I had set up previously and successfully paid several times. I kept getting an error message related to the account number, even though it was correct, and I deleted and re-entered several times. I did a chat with Plastiq, and they recommended just setting up the payee again. I did that, and it worked fine.

if your going for a CP, transferring points from CSP wont work. You should apply for a SW Biz instead.

I think I read about it in an Instant Pot group. I remember telling a friend about how super easy it was. She said I just use 2 forks and it is pretty easy. Fast forward about 6 months and this same friend just got her Instant Pot and she is telling me about how awesome it was shredding chicken with her mixer.

Oh no really? I must have read an older article that stated you could transfer the points to Southwest.

You can transfer the points from CSP to SW but those points WON'T count towards the CP.

When did you app for the Sapphire? If it was today, then go in an app for the other sapphire today as well. You can only get both sapphires if you app on the same day.

ETA: The rules in this game are constantly changing, so always pay attention to the date on the articles you find, and verify on this thread as backup.

OT, but does anyone have any food recommendations for a 15 year old at Disney world. I'm taking my little sister in a few weeks. We will only be there for two days. Normally, SO and I like to sit down meals and eat at signature restaurants, but that's not her style. She also does not want to meet characters. She has only been to Disney once when she was 6. She was too short for Rock n Roller Coaster, so her one request is to ride that lol. I'll take any recommendations for quick service or table service restaurants in any park (we should be going to all four), but we won't have time at Disney Springs or the resorts. I think maybe we should do quick service to save time, but I haven't found anything that great. Any fun recommendations for a teen and a picky eater? Oh, and I have asked her, but I get a I don't know or I don't care response lol. Also, I guess this is kinda related because I used points for the flights, room, and her two day park hooper ticket lol.

Yeah, there was info posted in a few places about whether the Narrows were open or not. April was a fantastic time to be there - not too crowded and we had great weather. We did the Emerald Pools (all the way up to the third pool) and it was really fantastic. The kids were thoroughly hiked out at that point (we'd done Arches, Canyonlands and Bryce before Zion) so they stayed at the hotel and watched a movie while DH and I did Emerald Pools - the upper part was a little steep with some drop-off bits that our older one would have found scary, so I was kinda psyched to just be able to do the hike with DH without having to try to watch the little one and help the older one not freak out - ah, family travel.
