Hopefully, mine post soon! I thought they usually would have posted by now. I don't ever remember it being this long after the AF hit.

Mine post around the week I actually opened the card and doesn't depend on the statement closing, from what I recall.

You made me curious so I just checked my spreadsheet and I opened my Plus 1/11/17 and my points posted 1/24/18. I opened my Premier 3/10/17 and points didn't post until 4/10/18.

Have you had the card for more than a year? You can check when your points posted last year on your RR account.

I got the card last year (June 2017). So, no anniv points from last year to check.

Can someone remind me when SW anniversary points post to RR account? I was charged my AF July 1, statement closed yesterday and no points have been added to my RR account. Does it take a few days after the statement closes?

DH's fee posted 7/1 and no points yet. The statement closes tonight. Hopefully soon!

Nothing else. Sitting in the terminal for hours, and on the tracks waiting for freight trains to pass. Guess the freight trains owned the tracks and Amtrak has to get off when they need them. At least that was what they told us. Also don’t really see the scenery that we thought we would as it did not go down the coast between pdx and sanjose. Saw lots of back yards with rusty fences,cars,trash. This was several years ago. Maybe it has got better.

The other thing you have to take into consideration is the time of year you'd be taking the train up this way. When we get a lot of rain we have mudslide problems. Any time there's a mudslide by or over the tracks they are closed at least 48 hours until everything has stopped moving. They switch to buses when this happens. It's most often north of Seattle but it does happen between Seattle and Portland too. It's mostly a winter into spring thing since we're so dry in the summer (I didn't say that, it rains all summer in Seattle you don't want to move here, our weather is awful, just come visit in August )

Has anyone with an Amex account been able to trigger the 100k Personal Plat offer? I've been trying non stop and have not been able to get it to show up. I really don't want to get the platinum for only 60k points but I want to put this bill towards the min spend requirement

I've never seen an existing Amex user get the 100k Plat without something wonky like the misspelling trick, and I'm not sure I'd recommend doing that on an MR card.

However, either way you should not get the 60k. You should be able to pull 75k/$5k via incognito.

I have, but only when I enter in my maiden name on card match. I have cards in several combos of my maiden and married names since legally my last name is both. But both my Amex cards are under just my married name.

TIP: use it to shred chicken breasts. best thing ever.

I can be a recent DP. Have had an Amex ED and BCP forever (Amex says we have a 9 year relationship ). At the end of last year I was able to pull the 100K Plat offer through CardMatch. Decided to hold off at the time. Tried again in May and was able to pull it again. After hearing about @Lain's struggle's with generating the offer again for his DW, I pulled the trigger at the end of May. No name tricks, no incognito. Just straight CM.

I have probably a $20 mixer from Walmart. But I shred my chicken like this a lot to freeze. Any old mixer will do.

A food processor also works great for shredding chicken. I love my food processor That and my crockpot are my cooking 'must haves'!

I've never looked down to the date before, with your whole month difference on the Premier I got curious so I checked my SW account just now. At least this year I'm wrong on my previous statement I got mine on Jan 10 which is the statement close for the month in which I opened it (mid Dec several years ago). I was pretty sure I was getting them before year end before but maybe I'm thinking of a different program.

Thank you both for this idea, I never thought a mixer would be able to shred chicken. (figured it'd just beat it up a bit. chicken lumps are just not the same.) I use two forks still... with the carpal tunnel syndrome I think I'm developing I'll be whipping out the mixer next time for sure!

To all the kitchenaid stand mixer conversations - love, love mine. Had it for about 20 years. It gets the biggest work out at Christmas with all the baking but also use to make mashed potatoes, mix meatloaf and meatballs. It sits in a place of honor on my counter top which does make it easier to use for things you might just pull out the hand mixer (i don't even know if I still have my hand mixer). It is the basic white artisan model. It sits under a cover so really don't see the color but I like the neutral.

I also use my kitchenaid a lot - I make most of our bread, so it get used at least once a week to mix dough. Never thought of shredding chicken with it. Interesting. I do prefer a hand mixer for making cakes - I feel like its too easy to overmix in the kitchenaid.

Completely off topic, but thanks to all who had mentioned "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" during the Amazon Prime price increase talks a couple of months ago. We just finished watching it last night and DH and I both really enjoyed it!

My dd18 is our breadmaker I really should get the kitchenaid out for her. She still kneads by hand!! Turns out great though (the little I taste...I don't eat bread so to smell it baking just kills me!).

I think I read about it in an Instant Pot group. I remember telling a friend about how super easy it was. She said I just use 2 forks and it is pretty easy. Fast forward about 6 months and this same friend just got her Instant Pot and she is telling me about how awesome it was shredding chicken with her mixer.
