Ok, so I just realized a conundrum here. I'm finally getting bids on my home improvement projects and a few of the places in the running will take CC's. Great! (Couple of them will take a CC for the whole project; if they'd let me I could open 6 or 8 cards if I did that

)
I'd been holding off on applying until I knew for sure I could meet the spends as I still have 4k+ left on my SPG Biz after 4 weeks. But that means I am wanting to open 3 Chase cards in a short period of time
The modified - Original - plan was go for the CIC first and then double dip the CSR/CSP. But with the timelines getting tighter from the weather delays, I'm not sure I have 30 days between the apps. With the 2/30 rule for personal cards, will I get spanked on the 2nd sapphire application automatically? I know the system can't really see the other sapphire yet, but would it see the application at all for that rule?
Backup plan is I go for the CIC (because I can't convince hubby to reopen his "business" yet) and then convince hubby to try the double dip. But he's at 3/24 right now with the last account (AmEx) in Jan. If it worked that'd put him at 5/24 and he'd be out of the running with Chase for another whole year. (unless we get desperate and I try to remove his AU from BoA off the CR)
What do ya think about this?
