Spend $30+ at Walgreens get $10 back. I have x3 CFs did it on 2 different cards using 2 separate accounts. Bought a $50 gc both times. Chips and a soda with one purchase because I was hangry and Motrin with the other cause I needed it. Both $10 rewards posted today and I can use the deal again before it expires today and i will also register my 3rd card. Unfortunately cash back can only be transferred to PayPal. I was banned back in the churning days but said gc redemption coming soon so I’ll hold out for that!

Just checked into Hyatt Place Minneapolis Downtown. Nice place, room is huge. 2 queen beds separated from a “living room” by the bathroom. Booked on points, naturally. Hyatt cc gets me free parking and 2 bottles of water daily. Headed to International Champions Cup soccer game at US Bank Stadium tonight. We can see the stadium from our room.

DH was FINALLY conditionally approved for global entry... a whole month after me. This means I had to, of course, reschedule my interview... the first batch of interviews wasn't available until November.

I'm glad I didn't sit on that any longer. The wait times for interviews and processing is insane. Glad I used free credit card benefits tho.

good advice on what to do but if I were flying to Seattle (possible in 2019), I'd be hitting up Olympic NP and Mt Rainier NP.

You need to get some sleep too. Aren’t you on 3 hrs of sleep from yesterday? Now you can go back to your original plan of timing a Plat for a triple dip and when DEN actually has a Centurion Lounge you can enjoy.

@Albort - The Grand Hyatt is our go to hotel in Seattle...so convenient and the views AND lounge are so nice!

@SouthFayetteFan - I'd do lots of things for my disboard friends but wading into a non-dis reddit discussion...um, nope!

@GlamMistress - I remember a several month wait for our appointment AND we had to fly to MIA to do it...ugh...it is nice to have GE and not paying for it does help!

Ha true! I got caught up in the biz offer. I think because I want to plan a big Europe trip with flights/hotels covered and it got me excited to start. But for now, what will I put my hail damage on? :scratchchin: But overall triple dip with lounge at home airport would be the best. Perhaps it will be open next summer when we do the family trip and we could get the ILs in (2 free guests? I'd pay for the last one for that trip )

I could make DH call once more for his personal Plat 100k offer, just to see. Or maybe I'll just refer him to Hilton biz, I'm sure we will find a use for those eventually. We're probably better off doing a lower spend or two to tide us over until I can do CIP, him SW CP, etc. And maxing our Staples/Lowes/Freedom offers.

He's on 3hrs of sleep too because we've been carpooling. Saturday night 3rd shift called in so I was in at 3am Sunday, they called in Sunday but someone else offered to do the 3am-7am... 3rd shift thought they'd be in last night but was still sick, so 3am again... they are supposed to be in tonight, thank goodness. My schedule is all messed up now. Normally when I go in at 3am on Monday after a down weekend, I'm not tired Monday night but Tuesday after work I crash. I could have passed out in the car after work on the way to get my rental, but now I'm awake again I'm on day 9... started last Monday 3am, normal 7am Tues/Wed, Thurs stayed til 7pm, normal 7am Fri/Sat, 3am Sun, 7am Mon, 3am today... That will be my excuse for calling the wrong number.

WE also use SFO much more than SJC. We typically fly domestic in the AM and are only at the airport 1.5 hours before boarding that gives us enough time for going through security, finding our gate, using the restroom that im not sure how much we would use it.

I already have a reg blue cash amex that i have had for ever and a Hilton amex. Do any of these work for the Centurion lounge?

Pretty sure this has already been answered, but you need a Platinum AMEX (or above) to access the lounge. We have been using it since it opened - it makes getting to the airport a bit early more than bearable.

The wait times for interviews were so awful here (SFO) that I have several friends who scheduled their interviews at other US airports while on vacation or during a layover. It's crazy just how hard it was to get a slot. There are 3 of us and we ended up having to drive there and pay to park on 3 separate days, just because the availability was so low. Glad your DH finally moved to the next step in the process. Having the CC pay for Global did make the inconvenience of getting those interviews more bearable.

Posted on reddit for humor, so posting here for more giggles. Bought two VGCs from Lowe’s since I had to get some other stuff. Went to WM 5 min away to liquidate and did two swipes. Transaction went through fine and cashier waits for it to print. Error...tries to fix it. Error. Printer went down. Asked if they need to refund it to my card. Nope! Refunds for MO have to be cash! Wish it was for the $500s...though I may be nervous walking out with 1K in cash lol.

Ha! What is it, like 7-8 months out at SFO? DW ended up scheduling her GE interview at HNL while we were there over the holidays. The next opening at SFO wasn't until February or March the following year.
