I love credit cards so much!

I’d hit Amex Biz cards. Do you have MR? Also, do u need AA miles? Citi and Barclays both have a AA Biz card. The Barclays AA Biz is 50,000 miles after 1 purchase, $99 annual fee though.
I do not have any Amex MR, the best offer I see on that is 50000. Trying to see what I could use those for, the spend is a bit higher.
DH and I each have about 95k in AA miles, and we have only flown AA once in our lives, they have really crappy flights out of MPLS. Probably don't need anymore, but I will give those some thought also. Those are not reported on personal either?

what site do you look at? s there a site that all the cards are on... I am so confused

When I received the card it said to go to like chase.com/verify when I did that I think it asked me to log in so I used my CIP username/password and then it imported it into my account. Before that the card did not show up.

I LIED!!!! I can't get it to work. How do I get Fastpasses??? The tickets are in there, the hotel is in there (the Swan) but it is not letting me get FPs! The Swan is a 60 day FP place right??? There may be a lot of cuss words flying right now!!!!! GRRRRRR I am hating Disney very much right now, I am missing the super duper easy Universal trips.

Ok, I closed it all down and started over and appears to be letting me make them. I may be back for more questions.

I get to travel quite a bit presenting on public health law issues all over the country, which is nice for this churning game.

I wish I got to travel... I get two three-night stays at a Marriott each year haha. DH used to travel a ton for work though. While we didn't know about churning back then, he was at least smart enough to open a Marriott rewards account and rewards accounts for every airline he flew, which has gotten us a lot of free nights and flights! I actually just used the last of his Delta miles booking flights to Tulsa.

Have you closed the app and logged back in? Maybe it takes a few minutes for the system to put 2 and 2 together with your hotel and tickets?

I plan to do this for my own kids as well when the time comes. It really was such an amazing gift and really motivated me from a young age to start thinking about things like finances and retirement. When I started my first job out of school, I already knew to set aside some money each month into my Roth. I bet many people my age haven't even started.
I plan to do this too ever since I read about your dad doing that on the DD thread last year. :)

I have a question about the double dip on the TC. How soon can I use it? I would like to use it for August. I'd also like to go to Disney in May 2019 for Flower and Garden while I will still have companion pass. Would that be my double dip of the TC, and then I call to PC the card and get a partial refund?

The travel credit applies automatically when you post a travel charge, so as soon as you make a charge. Our first travel charge was for $50 reload of EZPass tolls, when the charge posted there's a "Travel Adjustment" for the same amount posted the same day. Couple days later we got another $50 reload and then the same thing happened. It'll keep doing that until the $300 is used up. The travel credit is now a card anniversary year rather than calendar year. When you go into the UR portal it'll tell you when your benefit resets next year and then make your charges accordingly.

I just got a Chase email offer giving me 500 RR for enrolling one of my SW cards in paperless billing. This is the second time. I enroll, I get my points, I unenroll. Easiest RR ever.

I have a sticky note with this info just waiting to be targeted :) I never thought it would be that simple, I'm totally going to do that if I get the email.

Ok, who can help me out? If you don't know, I have been having major drama with trying to purchase Disney tickets through the Chase UR department. First agent told me not possible, called back and thought I got great agent who got it done, but they went through something called Funjet and I didn't get any Disney ticket numbers. So finally today she gets back to me and sends me a Disney number but when I put it into DME it says it can't use it because it is a will call ticket. Please tell me there is something that can be done. It told me to link it on Disneyworld.com I am afraid to do anything at this point afraid that I am stuck with will call tickets and no fast passes. Can anyone tell me what to do?? We have not been to Disney in years so all this electronic linking of tickets is new to me anyway and these problems are just freaking me out a little. Or a lot!!!
For those following our drama I'm still waiting on mine. I figure if they come in over the next few days we'll know whether or not the date you say your trip is matters, @WVMomof3 ordered right after me but my trip is still 6 months away. My Chase rep claims the travel dates don't have anything to do with when Funjet processes tickets so we'll see (entirely possible as another Chase rep I talked to said they'd put an expedite request on mine but couldn't say if it would make any difference :sad2:).

Does the 5/24 only apply to Chase cards? So you could essentially open say an American express card? A I getting that right? If not then if you can only open 5 cards every 24 months...... how do you do that? and then do you just close the ones who are over 24 months?

I wouldn’t go for the AA cards then. MR can be redeemed for cash with a schwab plat. There are higher targeted offers for the cards I want so I’m holding off for a bit. They don’t report in the past Barclays did so you may want to be careful with them, but lots of newer DPs of them not counting.

The 5/24 only applies to Chase meaning other card issuers don’t care if you have more than 5 approvals in 24 months. All personal cards will count towards 5/24. So if you start out and get an Amex personal card you will be at 1/24.

We recommend getting the Chase cards first until you hit 5/24 then move onto other cards.

You also can’t hit chase too fast will multiple applications or they will shut you down so we recommend applying for Amex Biz cards in between Chase apps. Biz cards don’t count towards 5/24.

I'm getting ready for my CSR/CSP double dip and just want to check on a few things. I'm going for the CSR first because I really want the 1.5x. My son wants to go to Universal and how can I say no? My family says I'm crazy to keep going back to the same places over and over, but with a picky 19 year old and a 2 year old I feel Disney and Universal suit us just fine right now. I have a question about the double dip on the TC. How soon can I use it? I would like to use it for August. On another note, I just spent a night at a local Sheraton hoping to take advantage of the lounge access with my SPG Biz before it goes away. The website said they did indeed have a lounge that had breakfast, 24 hour drinks, and appetizers in the evening. When I checked in , I was told they were converting to a Four Points and did not have any food in the lounge, only water and coffee. I politely said that was false advertising and I booked it expecting breakfast. They did give me two vouchers for free breakfast at the restaurant on site. I then went up to the "lounge" to get some water and found the cooler completely empty. I called the front desk to make them aware and they said they would restock it. By the time I left the next morning there still was not one bottle of water. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows the best way I could contact someone about this.

I know there was some talk here last week of the Prime Membership increasing to $119. I received an email from Amazon telling me my Prime Membership would renew in August at the $99 price and beginning August 2019 would renew at $119. Just thought I would pass along in case someone may have gotten a similar email and missed it.

Busy morning and just getting a chance to respond. I've not read through so I'm guessing you got your questions answered already. Did you go for it? Glad you are doing the double dip. I think having that CSR for your trip will really be beneficial!!

Most of our family thinks we are crazy too because we keep going to the same place lol but like you, I have kids stretching over such a huge range. My 7yo loves Disney as much as my 17yo (actually she turned 18 yesterday :faint: )! Where else can you go that meets all kid's interest and keeps us entertained all day long!?!

I got the email from Amazon too about my membership. Mine is going up to $119. We use the heck out of it and are grandfathered into the old plan so I won't do anything except pony up the extra $20 a year.

Lucky you. My Prime also renews in August - I received an email a few days ago advising me that my Prime will renew at the new price of $119.
After all my talk about dropping Amazon (don't renew until November), I bit the bullet and bought a gift of prime for $99...lol My kids watch "fuller house" and "sabrina the teenage witch" so couldn't let it go..lol
