I love credit cards so much!

What number do you call to get an update on your pending application for Chase? I applied for the CIP last night - got 30 day response but I have a 22k limit on my other Chase so I may need to reduce that. I do own a legit business and have strong (800) credit and low utilization so think my high CL may be an issue.

Also can spouses pool UR points? If so I may have my husband apply for the CSR then cancel our Amex Plat. I think we could then run expenses through my CIP for 3x but use his CSR access for travel portal booking for 1.5 benefit. But let me know if this (pooling) is possible. We will both be AU on each other’s cards.

This is my first step to try to start gathering points for a trip to Korea in 2020 or 2021! (We are adopting). Don’t feel gutsy enough for double dips and other awesome gutsy stuff but beginner level stuff is good. Thanks to all as I get up to speed!

I'm getting ready for my CSR/CSP double dip and just want to check on a few things. I'm going for the CSR first because I really want the 1.5x. My son wants to go to Universal and how can I say no? My family says I'm crazy to keep going back to the same places over and over, but with a picky 19 year old and a 2 year old I feel Disney and Universal suit us just fine right now. I have a question about the double dip on the TC. How soon can I use it? I would like to use it for August. I'd also like to go to Disney in May 2019 for Flower and Garden while I will still have companion pass. Would that be my double dip of the TC, and then I call to PC the card and get a partial refund?

On another note, I just spent a night at a local Sheraton hoping to take advantage of the lounge access with my SPG Biz before it goes away. The website said they did indeed have a lounge that had breakfast, 24 hour drinks, and appetizers in the evening. When I checked in , I was told they were converting to a Four Points and did not have any food in the lounge, only water and coffee. I politely said that was false advertising and I booked it expecting breakfast. They did give me two vouchers for free breakfast at the restaurant on site. I then went up to the "lounge" to get some water and found the cooler completely empty. I called the front desk to make them aware and they said they would restock it. By the time I left the next morning there still was not one bottle of water. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows the best way I could contact someone about this.

I know there was some talk here last week of the Prime Membership increasing to $119. I received an email from Amazon telling me my Prime Membership would renew in August at the $99 price and beginning August 2019 would renew at $119. Just thought I would pass along in case someone may have gotten a similar email and missed it.
Congrats on your double dip. The tc is for one year. So this time next year you will get it again.

Will we need to set-up a new user account for DH's CIC? He already has the CIP and I was expecting to see the CIC there like I do with the personal accounts where I can see my Disney, CSR, SW Premier, SW Plus and Marriott. I was trying to figure out what his credit limit is and had expected to see it with his CIP.

When I received the CIC I just went to the verify site and entered my CIP user/pass and it pulled it into my account.

OK, would love some thoughts here. You all know I am LOL/24 until late fall (and yes I like the term LOL/24 :-) ). My recent cards, to stay on Chases good side, are an SPG Amex Biz, opened in January and a Delta Amex Biz open in March. Dh also had both of these opened (from my referrals of course). I met those MSR pretty easily, and now I have no MSR to meet, and it's driving me nuts LOL. Amex is much harder to meet of course (but I have some vet bills coming up and a weekend out of town next weekend), but I think AMEX biz is about all I can safely do at this point? My credit limits are high with Chase, so I don't want to delve into their Biz cards right now, because I don't want to lower my credit limits right now, with a couple of recently closed cards and another one or two I might need to close soon.
So, with all that, my twitchiness has me looking at the Hilton Amex Biz, I have a store of Hilton points, and I know a lot of people don't care much for them, but I have done pretty well with them in the past. So it seems like a decent option.
Thoughts?
Chase goals are to hopefully be able to double dip SW at the end of the year for the companion pass and maybe then have DH double dip a Sapphire after those spends are met early next year.
To go that long without a minimum spend would be very tough on me, so I completely understand why you’re looking at the Hilton card. I also took a look at this before and I honestly didn’t even have a real use for the points and yet almost pulled the trigger. If you have a use for the points I see no reason not to get that card (and potentially even have your husband get one too down the line) to keep busy while you wait to go under 5/24.

Thank you! One question, all these biz cards, we can safely cancel them after a year without hurting anything on our personal credit??

You shouldn't have to make a separate account. I had the same experience as @DaveL. When I got my CIP, it automatically showed up in the account with my Southwest Biz.

Don't be discouraged if you're not approved immediately. Most of us get the "we'll let you know in 30 days" message. Don’t call into recon. Just call the automated status line at 1-800-432-3117, follow the prompts with #, 3, 1, SSN, periodically to check the progress of your application. When you get approved, you can call CIP's customer service line at 1-800-945-2028 to request the card expedited to you.

Good luck!

Yes, u can pool your UR as long as your addresses match.

And there isn't really a better option that I am not thinking of?

Sorry, yes I went to MDE and it says please link this ticket on Disneyworld.com. The My Disney Experience app is not able to link Will Call ticket orders.
oh no, I don't have any advice but wanted to say sorry you are going through this! Can you call back and have them refunded and just go a different route at this point?

I’d hit Amex Biz cards. Do you have MR? Also, do u need AA miles? Citi and Barclays both have a AA Biz card. The Barclays AA Biz is 50,000 miles after 1 purchase, $99 annual fee though.

Just rebook my exact same SWA flights MHT-MCO for over 10K points less for 3 tickets!
So cool! Now I get way you guys like SW so much! I was always a JetBlue fan.
Thanks! I just checked my flights and my departure is 2177 points less.

Now if only that pesky return flight would go down, it's still more than how many points we used for round trip last fall!

Disney M&C and Jen; what are you doing now that you like so much? Are you practicing attorneys, or something related?

I am a licensed attorney, but work in an academic center that provides legal technical assistance to public health practitioners and policymakers. I specialize in health information and data sharing, but work on lots of other public health issues as well. I get to travel quite a bit presenting on public health law issues all over the country, which is nice for this churning game. :D
