I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

As long as you book before 5/28, they will remain non expiring and changeable. You would just have to hold on wherever those flights are as of 5/27 to keep the cancellation and non-expiring even on a base fare.

If you see a price drop after 5/28 that you want to take advantage of, you want to change the time, etc, that's when the change would push the ticket into the new rules.
Okay, so no changing for price drops after 5/27. But if I cancel altogether after that date, doesn't that give the credits an expiration date?

Only if they were booked or changed 5/28 or later. Right now, you are covered by the contract of carriage you agreed to when you booked the tickets, unless you change something, that is still the contract in place when you cancel. When you change something you agree to the contract in place at that time.

Thanks very much. I'll keep booking WGA for now, then!

My AF on my CSP posted today. Can I wait until the anniversary points post before downgrading and still get the AF refunded?

I am going to apply for another CIP -- have a large expense due on May 1st that will more that meet the SUB. Yesterday I lowered CLs on my new CSR and a CFU. The SMs said the lower CLs were effective immediately; will be okay to apply today? I have 2 open Ink cards, so it's risky, but worth it since I don't covet any other Chase cards ATM.

My guess is today might be too soon. Similar to how when you PC out of a Sapphire people say to wait 4 days even though you can usually see your PC online immediately. I've waited couple weeks after lowering because I don't know how long is long enough. r/churning seems to say 1 week though.

I guess I just never noticed then. Growing up we always just said NOVA and everyone from VT did as well.
yeah it was dmv or novadame when I was there (for when people went to northern Virginia community college). I feel old.

@tink1970

Im assuming your older than me It would not let me quote in the mid-90s is when the shift happened I remember people "choosing sides" :) its silly
just like people from the east side of fairfax county would say DMV and the west side would say nova and the high school discussions I do not miss.

Just like how there are 3 different pronunciations of McLean.

I wonder if part of it could be when someone gives the wrong referral link and it posted to an old card. I've also seen where people have had to cancel cards due to an af when they haven't gotten points for one or something. That's the only thing I can think of that someone would have stopped tracking/given up on. Or when a link is used but doesn't actually track, maybe they were found.

Like others I have gotten all my points so don't anticipate getting anything but would be wary of it being correct.
I did close a card last year that had a pending referral bonus. However, I called at the time (and HUCA) and they were emphatic that you forfeit any pending referral pts if you closed the card. The amount of my check is also substantially more than I would have received from the referral. But that is the only thing I can think of that might be related to my check.

How long do IHG Annual Award nights take to post. I paid my annual fee on February 5th - but no award night is showing up yet.

Mine typically post before the AF even does, and definitely before I pay the AF. For example, my Select FNC posted on 3/3, and my AF just posted on 3/31. For my premier, the FNC deposited on 3/31 and the AF posted on 4/1.

Thanks. I wonder if I already used it then. I did use one on January 31. I just assumed it was an older one, but maybe not. Hmmm

I've heard Cap1 Ventures give the card number immediately for use on approval...any DPs in here to corroborate that? I really need to put a large purchase on a card by tomorrow and would hate to waste it on something I already have open. And was waiting for referrals to open up on the CSP for P2 so that's a no go. Also they don't take AMEX plus I have way too many AMEX open anyway. I am not at all part of the C1 ecosystem save for maybe my Kohl's card but...pfft that doesn't really count lol.

They didnt offer me or my P2 an instant #. And these cards take a very long time to arrive.

Same--I went to UVa in the mid 90s (from out of state) and it was all NOVA. And lived in Arlington/Tysons from 2001 to 2003 and don't remember hearing DMV back then. Not saying it wasn't around back then but wasn't common in my circles.

Get their app and you can get a virtual card number there. If you have a Kohl's card you should have a login already. I had to call and have them send me a new card as mine expired and the replacement I think I threw away before opening it, I had access to a virtual card number for use immediately upon hanging up.

I've been denied twice for Chase Biz cards. One was December 2024, but I had three open chase biz cards when I applied. I closed one in February, when it reached a year since opening - applied for a new card, two days later and was denied again. Both letters said "too many requests for credit or open accounts with us" and "insufficient business revenue." I have five open personal cards (CSP, CFU, CFF and 2 OG Freedoms). And I was 3/24 when applying. I'd like to try again. Do you think the number of personal cards matter? I could close a Freedom. Maybe I didn't wait long enough after closing the last card before applying? Any thoughts/advice?

Edit to add: I just checked the Chase Credit Journey - Experian report and it says I have 9 credit checks. I looked at the dates and 5 of them are chase business cards (including the two denials). I know this was an issue recently with biz apps showing on credit reports, but I thought it was fixed. They shouldn't be showing right?
