Yesterday I said goodbye to my almost 18-year old dog. She took care of me throughout my 30s and most of my 40s. She was by my side through a difficult divorce and more recently my dad's passing. Until the last few days, she made me laugh everyday. I miss her terribly and don't know what to do without her. When I'm feeling better, though, I'll start planning a trip to Japan for May with DS (I haven't been apart from her for the last year or so because of her health).

What a beautiful baby. I'm so sorry for your loss. There are no words, I know from having lost our baby Luna back in May. Take care.

18 years, wow. So sorry for your loss. I'm sure that's a big hole in your heart.

So so sorry to hear this. You gave her the best life ever, and she knew she was incredibly loved. My sincerest condolences for your loss.

time for new cards!
I blew thru msr for the citi AA I opened, need to hold off on Inks for a bit. I'll close any for me and p2 once they're beyond a year
we're 3/24 each
thinking either an AA biz card or the new Jetblue.
we have no upcoming plans :(
got back from Paris/Normandy and nothing
I'm sure there'll be some quick Fl trips and thinking of poland/hungary in the summer (LOT is the only non stop to Poland) we fly from ewr, phl and ttn. no non stops back from hungary into ewr, phl, jfk, lga
need to convince ch to be ok with a "stranger" dog sitter in the house.

My OD never lets me do more than 1 purchase a day. The manager is ALWAYS there and ALWAYS yells at me when I ask. There's one cashier that recognizes me and if she has the opportunity to whisper to me when the manager is going on break, I can come back the same day. Otherwise no dice.

OMG! This makes me feel better! Mine isn’t the manager, the manager is actually very cool about selling me gift cards. It was an older lady that absolutely refused to sell me 2 $20 DGC in separate transactions. I was trying to use the Biz Gold $20 credit on 2 Gold cards. She told me she could only sell me 1 gift card a day 🙄 even if it was only $20. She then tried to ring up both cards in the same transaction, and rolled her eyes when I told her no I only wanted one. I was frustrated, and now if she’s working I just turn around and walk out.
My OD isn't the closet to me and I stopped making the trip when the manager would arbitrarily decide what amount in GC's they could sell in a day. As in the store could only sell $500 in a day, nevermind how many people had come in and you had no idea where they were in that number for the day. It was so frustrated and you could tell that for whatever reason she didn't want to sell GC's. It wasn't worth the hassle to me.

Any JetBlue flyers going for the new 80k SUB on the Plus? Usually transfer UR points when they have a bonus but I do value JB points at around 1.3-1.5 cents each and 80K for $1000 spend is pretty sweet even after the $99 fee. I also like how having the card gives you 10% back in points used for reward tickets. Only reason to hold out would be to see what their new premium card they've been hinting at looks like but I think I'm going to grab this offer.

I already have it and keep it for the bag benefit as we usually fly JetBlue. My husband had it back in 2019 so I think I’m going to have him get it again. Especially now that inks are getting tighter, we’ll need the JetBlue points. I also usually transfer from UR when they have a bonus, or book through the portal.

Jet Blue just started flying out of ISP and I got this card a few months ago when the 80k was offered, felt the same as you that the $99 fee was worth it for the SUB, 10% back and also the 1 free checked bag. Thinking about P2 applying for the card now.
I was looking forward to ISP as it would be so much more convenient for me but alas JFK and LGA are still way lower priced both cash and points so it's a no go so far! Hoping they drop their prices a bit in the future.

Yeah I go back and forth between Delta and JBlue depending on flight time, award points etc. From MCO I don't mind going to Terminal C since I do like the Priority Pass lounge there a lot. We do have the Plat and additional Plat so taking Delta from MCO would mean still paying for DS and it's crazy to me how they still charge $50 for a small kid who will eat and drink nothing there lol. Definitely signing up for this and if the premier card blows us out of the water I'll grab that too.

My Chase has 5% back on Giftcards.com. With the 6% off on the Visa GC that negates the fee and the 2.5% on Rakuten, that's basically free money right? Am I missing anything? Grab the max 3 $100 VGCs is a no brainer?

My last purchase via Rakuten was ineligible. How could a Disney Gift Card be excluded 😂 I didn’t bother to ask why.

So sorry for your loss. So hard to lose our pups and you've had multiple losses recently. 💔

Did you buy a lot? I see it excludes $2k or more but otherwise not sure why they wouldn't credit you for buying a gift card from a site that is named for them, GIFTcards.com? Come on Rakuten!!!

Sharing tears with you.

We live 10 minutes from the airport and have a SW CP so have flown them exclusively to MCO to visit or son who lives in Baldwin Park, don’t really travel anywhere else.
My daughter has booked JB for 9,000 points to MCO from there but usually the points are higher than SW.

this is what I'm thinking....I've always just used swa for simplicity, having the cp + points etc with low fares was so easy. Now with all the changes happening I'm not sure things will stay the same, and I still use them but JB has some good routes for pretty cheap too,and the experience is usually a bit nicer than swa..... thinking of expanding my choices
