Churro Waffles- Concierge Only?

I've never had one, but figured I would eventually. Perhaps not on the Destiny, which is my next cruise. I wonder if they are trying this out to keep it less chaotic in the buffet on that morning. I know on my last sailing on the Magic, people who normally don't eat in the buffet were going to get it specifically and my table mates actually went to get it, even though they were having an early brunch at Palo. It could be so overhyped that it has become a problem.

I hear what you're saying, but I'm not sure that's been my experience. Yes, the buffet is a bit more busy on churro waffle morning, but I've never seen it out of hand. The line is a little long, sure, but no longer than I've seen other buffet lines during busy times.

Of course, that's just my experience so perhaps there are instances of things getting out of hand. With some of the behavior I've witnessed and heard about from guests, I sadly wouldn't be surprised.

If this is true, that's really disappointing. I like the churro waffles and anxiously await them every cruise. All the MDR servers know they're a hot commodity because they always are sure to tell us the night before that they'll be offered. They can't offer them for one day on a cruise? I know it's a minor thing, but I don't get why DCL keeps cutting back.

(And this is coming from someone who sails concierge a lot so could still get the waffles for free, but I disagree with this philosophically.)

I agree, they can't be that much more than regular Mickey Waffles. If they offered them more often, people wouldn't go crazy for them when they're available.

Good point! Yet another thing where DCL/Disney has created this 'fake' demand that becomes overhyped and leads to problems. PAT comes to mind-everyone's scrambling at midnight to get the earliest PAT and lo and behold, the site crashes.

There's no question they are very much over-hyped.
